Why are people judging rookie qbs like they expected them to be great right of the bat?

Because they see Bradford behind his superior Oline making a ton of 2 to 7 yard passes in an offense designed around his strengths. They're foolish enough to think that Clausen, with his horrible Oline, horrible play calling and run game that can't take off, should be able to at least duplicate Bradford's numbers.

Bradford was also given the keys forthright. He has worked with the first team almost exclusively since TC. The Rams OC worked 7 seasons with McNabb and the Eagles. So yeah he has the passing game figured out. On the other hand Jeff Davidson looks like an idiot. Also we are all figuring out that the preseason offensive suck-fest was a sign of things to come. We all seem to agree that things need changing. I don't think QB is as big an issue as many think. I actually think Clausen needs a full offseason with a QB coach and OC that can help him improve. In the draft we need a RG, depending on Otah's health a RT and a young gun to pair with Gettis. Smith as much as i love him needs to transition to a more Hines Ward esqe type role. Slot, clutch, leadership. His big play ability is MIA.

I honestly can't believe how some people come on here and think gambling with a new rookie quarterback project is going to solve all the team's problems.

THE PANTHERS ARE SHORT ON EXPERIENCE AND NOT YOUTH

The way most people falsely place all the blame on the quarterback,it stands to reason that think a quick fix at that position is the answer.Sad........
