Stewart is the replaceable of the two...34 has more vision and explosiveness. I'd like to keep both, but if I had to pick, I'd send 28 packing. 34 can get it done with the help of goodson and sutton.

Stewart is a good bit younger and hasn't missed a game. If I had to pick one to keep give me the younger RB.

The more important fact is he would not get hurt if he had a line to keep 250+ LBs out of the backfield. All those big hits take a toll. Us avg joes would not last a few snaps with that crap blocking we have seen.

DeAngelo Williams is not a top-tier RB, I'm sorry. But when your 1-5 and your starting #1 RB has 1 TD and is averaging 4.1 yards per/carry.....your not very good.

The guy has 1 rushing TD in his last 14 games (FOURTEEN GAMES), he hasn't run for 100 yards in a single game since week 11 (in 2009). He's now missed his first game in 2010 after barley playing the final 5 in '09.

I'm sorry but what am I missing and what are you seeing, besides living off his monster 2008 season. I know a few other RB's who were good 2 years ago---what separates DeAngelo besides your perception?

As with any other player, resigning Williams will and should depend on how much he wants and how much we can afford. If he wants to be the highest paid rb in the NFL, then no way. If he wants top 5 money, then perhaps. Of course, it also depends on what the new coaching staff wants.

Keep Double Trouble together! Injuries happen in this league as we all know, and when Williams goes down (like now), Stewart steps in and there is no drop off in production.

What happens when it's just Stewart and he gets injured for 6 weeks? Do you think Goodson or Sutton as our starter/bell cow would be as productive? I don't, especially not with how the Oline has been playing.

They should have been negotiating with DWill's agent early this season so they could make like the Patriots. If DWill wants too much cash, trade him like the Pats traded Seymour to the Raiders. Now, either they give DWill what he wants or get nothing if he walks. A cap friendly deal in August or September would have avoided this BS.

The Panthers need to start doing the driving, and not getting assfugged by the likes of Peppers.

from a money standpoint...the gameplan would be to let him walk so he can test the market, then try and nab him for less than the 7+million a season price tag an extension would cost.

I've seen LaDainian Tomlinson used as an example in support of letting Williams go more than once. The argument has been along the lines of "hey if the Chargers can let go of LT, then we can let go of Williams."

Anybody using that argument needs to take a look at where the Jets and Chargers are in their respective rushing games right now (and Tomlinson individually too).
