#1 reason to get thomas davis back

Uggghhh.

Do you know how strong human ligaments are? Do you understand how much force is required to tear one? Do you realize that some foam and velcro does next to nothing in resisting that force?

The second tear was a freak accident. It wasn't the training staff being retarded and letting a guy come back too early from an injury. They are professionals, they know better than any of us when he will be ready. And once they say that he is ready for the stress of an NFL game again, he should play and he will play.

True I've never heard any trainer say that it makes you stronger. It's probably the placebo effect.

I don't see how the second tear was a freak accident. He was doing the same exact thing both times. Lightning doesn't strike twice. It seems odd for his ACL to give out during the exact same motion. There's got to be some correlation.

I think he came back too fast and too hard.

Holy crap, why isn't anyone bitching about Smitty playing after breaking his arm twice? These are grown f'ing professional athletes, not porcelain dolls. It's really touching that you're all so concerned about Davis' well-being, but he's made it clear that he wants to play this season for both family financial reasons and to help his team. There hasn't been any indication that he won't be able to return and, as much as some of you may think you're more medically skilled than the Panthers' training staff, the decision is theirs. If they decide he's ready this season, then he will come back. It really doesn't matter if you guys think he needs another 3 months and a knee brace.
