#1 reason to get thomas davis back

This message is for you and everyone else that thinks this way.

This is the NFL. In case ya hadn't noticed, injuries are a fact of life in the NFL.

People are going to get hurt. Some will even end their playing careers. If ya don't like that fact, go watch tennis. Maybe that will be more your style.

If davis is cleared to play, and looking good enough in practice to start him again...it is a no brainer for davis to start again, putting beason back in the middle full time.

Being cautious isn't going to change the fact that davis could get reinjured.

When he is cleared, get him back on the field.

I don't know if you listened to TD's interview, but he even said that a part of the reason that he really wants to come back is to prove to the Panthers and the other teams in the league that he can still play and especially that this is his contract year. He said that he would be lying if the contract situation were not a big part of it.

If he does not get a big contract now, then he may never get one.

isn't that how he tore his ACL the 2nd time? He wasn't ready to be practicing without a brace.

Uggghhh.

Do you know how strong human ligaments are? Do you understand how much force is required to tear one? Do you realize that some foam and velcro does next to nothing in resisting that force?

The second tear was a freak accident. It wasn't the training staff being retarded and letting a guy come back too early from an injury. They are professionals, they know better than any of us when he will be ready. And once they say that he is ready for the stress of an NFL game again, he should play and he will play.

Do you even know how frequently that players who tear their ACL, tear it again?

If it tore that easily, back pedaling for Godsake, then I'll give it a longer time to recover and exercise it before letting him back on the field.

Simple Logic just says "Hey, he's torn it twice all ready, lets maybe let the recovery process take a longer time".

So the answer is clear and simple, NO HE WILL NOT PLAY THIS YEAR

ACL's replaced by surgery are stronger than the ACL that was torn. Read a book.

Sure, they may give him a longer time to recover and strengthen it up before he comes back, but that's not up to any of us to decide. I'll let the Panthers professional training staff make that judgment.

Yeah stronger huh, thats why they re-occur a TON. Maybe you should read a NFL Injury List.

I'll let the training staff decide, and then I'll let him sit an additional 2-3 months making sure that no "freak accidents" happen. Freak accident? Please, thats what happens when you come back to early.

And dont gimme this BS about professional training staffs, the Packers training staff let Aaron Rogers play with a concussion, so your argument is invalid.
