#1 reason to get thomas davis back

Even if he's been cleared to play you let him practice at least another week from that point on.

Missing all this time of full practice means it will take a little bit of time for him to get up to full speed, and since the defense is actually playing pretty good right now, we may put him there too early and undermine what good thing we got going.

Our D is by far the least of our problems this year. And no point risking screwing it up now that those guys are finally clicking for a guy that may not be up to game speed, even though he will eventually be a better option. We need to make sure he IS the better option, now after his injury, before we play him and not because he would have been the better option then.

If the season is salvageable, I say do it. We need Beason back in the middle, I just hate him being out of his comfort zone, watching Frank Gore rip off 10-12 yards per run.

Agree with this 100%. If we are already out of the playoff hunt(I have not given up hope yet, the NFC is pure poo) then we should rest him and allow him to get back to full health. Otherwise, i say we play him cause I miss seeing Beason fug poo up in the middle.

If thomas davis gets back to the point he is cleared to play...how do you not allow him to just to have beason back in the middle full time.

This is nothing aginst conner..he's played great....but beason in the middle is still the trump card.

I'd want TD to be fully healed so he won't go for a 3rd acl tear.

Put him back in if he's ready. That's up to him and the medical staff. If the medical staff says he's g to g, fug it. That'll just make the d that much scarier. Beason NEEDS to be in the middle. Put the best players on the field, period. Conners been good and he's gonna be a really good back up when Beason moves back to the middle. two words, "trade bait".

Putting him back on the field this year would just be one more stupid mistake for this team.

This message is for you and everyone else that thinks this way.

This is the NFL. In case ya hadn't noticed, injuries are a fact of life in the NFL.

People are going to get hurt. Some will even end their playing careers. If ya don't like that fact, go watch tennis. Maybe that will be more your style.

If davis is cleared to play, and looking good enough in practice to start him again...it is a no brainer for davis to start again, putting beason back in the middle full time.

Being cautious isn't going to change the fact that davis could get reinjured.

When he is cleared, get him back on the field.

If he's cleared in time, he'll play.

1. Because he'll want to do so.

2. He basically needs too, He has to show the Panthers and the other teams that he still has it.

3. Going off of #2, he's in a contract year as well.

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
