Does anyone currently live there or have an opinion of it. Flying there Friday to meet with a company and they will most likely want me to move there. Been in Charlotte for about 10 years now. Never thought I would want to move but money talks.

Good luck to you, I understand.....money talks (it would to me) and potential career advancement. ( I wish I had made different decisions when I was younger.) Please let us know.

There are nice areas everywhere and im sure you can find them in Jville.. If its a job thats going to better your family and long term career opportunities, you just have to suck it up and do it. Sometimes you have to move. Dont let doofuses on a message board make your mind up for you. See for yourself.

It's a lot better than it was before the NFL arrived. It's the second biggest city in the country, area wise, but not sure it's even third in Florida, population wise. There are a lot of great golf courses to the south, Orlando's not THAT far away, and you're safe from the hurricanes.

But it's nothing like the other Florida cities, as Zod said.

This is true, believe it or not the Jaguars brought good things for Jax. They really started to clean up downtown after that.

City smells like ass.

This is so true!

The reason for this is because of all the iron & sulfur in the water in fact I don't advise you to drink the well water, its so smelly & it will also turn your hair and clothes rusty, drink bottled. You know you are getting close to Jax because of the smell & where I lived was even more horrible smell because I lived down from a paper plant. :willy_nilly:

The Landing is a decent place to go for fun. Jax is very culturally diverse, which is one of the reasons why they have so many problems with gangs. But the culture brings really cool festivals to the area. That is one of the things I miss. They have some pretty great museums & the zoo is real nice.

      I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛

      bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
