When it comes to challenging replays, Fox swung five times and missed five times. Six other coaches haven’t won a challenge yet, but none of them has challenged as many times as Fox.

He's picked a few pretty asinine plays to challenge, by the way. But, on a related note...

Why the $%*& does our stadium have to be the only friggin' one in the league where replays aren't shown a hundred times from various angles, slow motion, etc. when there is a challenge? Is this just another nuance of Jerry Richardson showing his allegiance and support to the league?

Fox has admitted in the past that he'll sometimes use challenges to get a long time out if he thinks his team is winded or needs something to stop momentum.

Up for debate whether that's wise or not, but it's something he does.

In two cases, Fox challenged plays that obviously wouldn't be overruled. However, in both cases, one of his starting players was down on the field at the time he threw the challenge flag.

Why is this important? Because in both cases, if play was stopped to send out medical personnel, those players would have had to come out for the next play. By throwing the challenge flag Fox basically got a five minute timeout (or longer) for the cost of a time out and a later challenge, but got to keep the slightly injured player on the field and active in the next play.

It might have looked bad in the two cases I know of, but honestly, that's some smart heads up coaching.
