Why would you assume that devin thomas has an edge over edwards? Cause he has been a receiver longer? That would require ignoring the fact that edwards has been with the team longer, is faster, and would plays a different role as a receiver.

Edwards is on the outside looking in.

He's going to have to bust his ass to even get a jersey, let alone play time. There is also no promise he'll be will even be with the team next year.

So stop assuming poo that ya don't know. You won't even have an idea for a long long time.

...I didnt assume anything, I asked 2 questions to provoke thought and was in agreement with the OP. If you don't propose hypothetical situations or 'what if' senario's then what is the use in having a message board. I'm just saying the competition is stiff and anything can happen at WR if players start stepping up.

Thanks captain obvious for the thorough insite on Edwards.

So stop assumig poo that ya don't know.

My problem is we had a guy with 8 NFL starts under his belt and drafted two rookies to back him up. That was straight retarded. Based on the history of our QB coach, it made all sorts of sense to sign a vet to help coach along the young guys. All other moves aside, this was the one that sunk the Panthers.

Hell even kept Josh McCown or AJ Feeley.

in case ya didn't read my edit. Its thomas who is on the outside looking in. Not edwards.

You can propose as many what ifs ya want you can also believe that thomas has more of a chance of sticking around than edwards. Don't go blaming the coaching staff if the don't go with your hypothetical bullshit.

Or the guy you are still paying anyway. Might not be a starter anymore but one hell of mentor and decent backup.

I thought the same think which is why I thought keeping Jake on the team as a back-up, veteran QB, would have been good. But then they went and gave him a crazy contract and had to let him go.

Also many will argue, that's what a QB coach is for. But I happen to believe there is no substitute for experience. Good or bad.
