So maybe they were right.

Given the well documented struggles of rookie WR's, I don't know how you can go into a season with a WR squad comprised mostly of rookies and feel good about your chances?

I think LaFell and Gettis will both develop into good WR's, but relying on rookies is a big part of what got us into the 0-5 hole we dug for ourselves.

All he is saying, is that most fans on this board are to quick to judge. Specially rookies.

That is true. But on the flipside, we're now surmising that they may have been right after only one game, so we're being quick to judge once again.

I hope what we saw wasn't a fluke. "Cautiously optimistic" would best describe me right now.

Haven't we brought in 2 veteran receivers in the past few weeks because we don't have depth and Jarrett is gone. So of course we should have brought in one or two when the pool of guys was bigger and they would have gotten work with the team much earlier.

Seems the question was answered, we needed to keep Gettis and LaFell and bring in a few veterans. I just wish they were here much sooner.

This was the last sentence of the post.

This is why you dont judge rookies after 5 weeks, but at the same time this is why you dont say that they are gonna be great after ONE game. But, we do know what they are capable of.

To some extent..yes.

I put our start in better context with the fact that Moore didn't have timing down with steve smith due to smith's broken arm. Add to that, he practiced with a different set of young receivers every week. There was zero chance to build timing and chemsity.

The run game failed to show up. Blame that on whatever you want.

We start 0-2. Switch to a rookie qb, actually thinking that was going to help.

Hell, I was there thinking the same thing.
