Jackson becomes Rams' all-time rushing leader Beating Eric Dickerson

Yes, this is Carolina panthers news because we play the rams and Jackson next week.

I can remember it like yesterday when the Dallas cowboys had a chance to draft him yet traded down to get marcus spears

Steven Jackson became the St. Louis Rams' all-time rushing leader on Sunday, but he was unable to savor the moment.

Jackson passed Eric Dickerson on the Rams' career rushing chart, but the Rams lost 18-17 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"It means a lot,'' Jackson said of the record during a postgame radio interview on WXOS-FM 101.1. "We talked about it this week. I would have loved to have it with a win. It's kind of hard to just enjoy it right now. It was a lot of work that went into becoming the franchise's leading rusher. I just want a win, man.''

THIS is EXACTLY what a REAL football player should say.

Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.

A real football player would prefer to not play a down and win than break all the records in one game and lose.

well...i know quite a few WRs that probably don't feel that way but WRs are pretty much the most selfish players there are in the game. if they aren't selfish then they probably aren't worth a crap as a receiver.

dickerson getting passed up is a little sad for me. he was one of my favorites growing up. he, john riggins, and earl campbell were my favorite players by far.

i'm a fan of steven jackson, though, so i'm pretty happy for him. i can't imagine how much he would have done had he been on a team that was actually worth a crap.
