The only good thing about the flu

is that the stubborn 10 extra that I won't lose because I love food so much is now history.

I look pretty damn good but feel pretty damn bad.

At least the kids are done projectile vomitting. All that laundry was tough to do while my head was swimming at 2:00 AM.

I would agree with you hawk, except that I'm well hydrated (still peeing clear) and my slight handles are gone and my scrubs are falling off of me.

But you are right, once my appetite comes back it will likely be Halloween candy time!

I have only had the flu once that I can remember... I have asthma so I am "high risk" if I get it, but I can't get the shot because it is cultured in eggs (I'm allergic)...

It was pretty rough on me, but I was lucky compared to what I hear out of some people...

I was bed-ridden for about 3 days (one of which I had to watch the Panthers from bed)... and between the vomiting and being on the verge of pneumonia with fluid in my chest it was probably the worst 3 days I have ever had...

I've only had the flu once in my life and it just happened to be the year that I got the flu shot. It was the worst sick I've ever been except for the time I had tonsillitis. I hate to be paranoid but I have not had the flu shot since.

I've never gotten the flu. I'm worried about it this year because my wife's pregnant, and the flu (especially H1N1) can be pretty dangerous with pregnant women. She's going to get the shot soon (I never get them).

I survived pneumonia twice before I was 3 years old...
