Well we aren't THE worst team and an interesting article.

Every year there are teams that start slow and people dub them the worst teams, but nobody really knows how good or bad everybody is until about week 12 or so. Some of those teams that started fast will fade and teams that started slow will heat up. This ALWAYS happens.

Schein in the pregame yessterday was saying San Francisco would beat us by double digits. Doesn't know football at all. Wouldn't want to bet any money on his predictions.

If Alex Smith doesn't get hurt, San Fran would have most likely won by double digits.

Seriously? A.Smith was throwing under and over his receivers before he even got injured. Had he remained in the game, the Panthers defense would have walked away with a few more interceptions which would have probably led to a couple more TDs for the Panthers. Seeing as how in the 4th, Moore was slicing them up through the air.

You don't know that. Smith was only 9-19 for 129yds when he got hurt and that drive was going nowhere even before the sack that put him out of the game. Also, a good chunk of that 129yds came on the very first drive, which has been a big problem for our defense.

Heck, I was much more worried about stopping Frank Gore than Alex Smith, and he was still gashing us after Carr came in.

We aren't the worst team in football; that title is left for teams don't even look competitive. We are the youngest team though, more specifically in experience..which has lead us to our current record.

Now that we've won a game and these new players have a taste of what it's like to win, we might have a bunch of young guys with a lot more confidence coming into next week.

49ers almost won with carr in there. there chances of winning would have greatly increased with smith in there.

we BARELY beat a 1-5 team that had to deal with david carr as their QB for almost the whole 2nd half.

meanwhile the bills barely got beat by the ravens (a 5-1 team and a top 10 defense) in overtime in a game that the bills were able to put 34 points on the board.

i'm not sure who is the worst team in the NFL but i'm pretty sure that despite the win, the bills have a better team right now.

The Steelers barely won by 1 point and the Bills barely lost despite having an early lead and a lot of yards. That's NFL football, dude. Most NFL games are decided by 10 points or less and usually come down to 2-3 key plays, regardless of what the records are. There truly isn't that much difference between a winning team and a losing team in this league, which is why you should never give up until you're mathematically eliminated.

steelers really shouldn't have won that one but i got no dog in that fight.

i know what you mean and i'm not eliminating them. i'm just saying that we haven't done a whole lot to dissuade arguments that we are the worst team in the NFL at the moment.
