Moore said he felt that pressure could have impacted how badly he played in the first 2 games. He said he was given freedom to just sling it around in the fourth, if he was under pressure like he was when we were 0-1 and behind 20-7 to Tampa I highly doubt the results would've been the same.

Certainly. As you have mentioned ad nauseum, he has a winning career record. So if he lost another game, he still has that, and according to you, makes him deserving of more starts. Fox would give him another week or two before another switch so yes, the "pressure" of taking an 0-5 team to victory pales in comparison to the pressure of leading a 0-0 team to a win. Plus, the last time he really felt pressure was probably after the Saints game when Jimmy had a very good game for a rookie. When he struggled mightily vs CHI, Moore probably gained confidence he had what it took to hold him off for a bit longer, and he probably had lost that confidence earlier.

Sorry but you have the two backwards. Most Moore fans, including myself, are basing it on performance. Most Clausen fans are basing it on college, high school, name, hype and hopes which everyone knows doesn't always translate to NFL. Moore starting was and continues to be the best option FOR the team. Clausen starting was and continues to be the best option for Clausen and his fans...and even that's debatable. Maybe just his overzealous fans who didn't care to understand starting him now could hurt him. Most Clausen fans acted like this team was the Carolina Clausen for the past 2 months, not the Panthers.

But Matt Moore played 11 games as a starter with this team. He has won 7 of them. And 9 of those 11 features good to great QB play.

There is nothing obsessive about saying a good playing QB is a good playing QB. Matt is what he is: A GOOD Panthers starting QB. You say you will believe it when you see more of it? We have already seen it. You don't have that attitude about Clausen, even though he hasn't shown anything at this level, and a lot LESS than Matt Moore has shown. But you were very supportive of Clausen.

If Matt played 9 bad games and had 2 good ones, I would understand some of the hate he's been getting. Some of the doubting. But that's not the case.

only reason i supported clausen was the only reason i supported moore in '07 and in '09. they weren't the QB that sucked. until they proved otherwise, the one that hadn't shown he sucked in the only season that matters got my support. clausen had my support when he was named the starter because he was the starter and he hadn't proved himself to suck yet.

again, all the clausen supporters did (including myself when i was looking for a better option than what we had at the moment in moore) was say that he had potential and he couldn't be much worse this year than moore had proven himself to be but you, being a blind moore homer, could only see criticism of moore and moderate support for clausen as being on the same level of obsession as yours for matt.

You keep saying that, but you don't mean it. Because at 6-2 before the season started Matt had already proved himself. And a winning QB should get a little more benefit of the doubt and support than asking for his head after having a couple of bad games with a brand new team, full of rookies, the first 2 games of the season.

There was a "contact matt" thing where you could email him so i dropped him a line letting him know it was mu video, how much i liked watching him play etc etc And amazingly got that response back.

I made him anoher one like he asked and asked if he'd mind autographing something for me. A couple weeks later he sent me a letter thanking me for my support a couple autographed photos and an autographed matt moore rookie card.

So if we are using your logic and Moore has two more good performances is he back to being a great QB because his good outweighs his bad "in this season?"

Also, Jimmy Clausen must be the suck because "only season that matters is this one" and Jimmy has shown no potential at all this season. Being a rookie is no excuse because only this season matters. See how that logic doesn't make much sense?
