hey RealDeal, what does this mean btw? You've made many posts before making it sound like you played with them, etc. Did you grow up with the guys? I figured you just watched them at high school games but that post makes it sound way more personal. Just curious, not meant to be insulting, just was reading back and saw it.

It just means that I've known them both since before their HS days. There is a lot of good football played in that area and these kids are in the paper from a very young age. I'm either a middle-aged/old guy with nothing better to do that follow high school football or I am around the same age as Moore/Clausen.

I've been a Panther fan for the longest time and it trips me out almost on a daily basis that both of them somehow ended up here. Before I just used to lurk on the boards but these two are a topic I know about so I post. Been getting in heated arguments but trying to stop that, but Catdaddy has gone too far this time, badmouthing a kid for non football issues that are clearly not true, accusing Mr. Scot (only 1 T) of stealing articles. I don't like to think I have a side really, especially not at this point. We have disagreed in the past and still do, but I don't think there is much of a debate to be had at the moment. I still think it's too early to say Clausen is a bust but I think it's clear that Moore deserves to keep playing based on how he played on Sunday, and barring another major meltdown, for the rest of the season. If that makes me part of a side, well, I'm probably in the majority there now, heh. Also, I think it's dumb anyone would attack one of our players for potential grade issues without any substance to it. Of course, when said person is also accusing a poster of stuff without any evidence I guess I'm not THAT surprised...

It's cool you were able to follow them from a young age; I grew up in an area of the country with very little in the way of decent player output aside from one huge name, and he went through before I was growing up, so I just knew him as a pro. That's why I was a bit surprised with the level of detail you know about their lives. It sounded more than just googling names, hence my questions.

Also, I did not doubt you were telling the truth about his reasons for going to CoC, because your side fit closely to what I had heard when we picked him up at the start of the season a few years ago. I got those articles because someone had requested "proof" it was not grades. I thought the 3 articles I found adequately showed it had nothing to do with academic ineligibility. I apologize if it was seen as feeding a troll or agreeing with him; not intended.

I was just giving him a hard time for the debates we've had in the past when Catdaddy agreed with him. I think we've both come to the conclusion that we disagree on some things but I definitely enjoy the discussion. Catdaddy isn't having a discussion, that's what I can't stand.
