I mean, we did just have the worst scoring defense in NFL history.

If there was a Jamarr Chase or Justin Jefferson type prospect I'd be pounding the table for him. I like T-Mac and wouldn't be mad about drafting him but I'm not going to pretend that we don't have at least equal needs on the defensive side of the ball.

Look at the Bengals and that should tell you how top recievers are awesome but don't really equate to winning teams

Truth. I'd love to have one but I also understand that great receivers seem to be a lot more valuable in fantasy football than in reality.

If your building a side they're the cherry on top of the cake. For your QB to take that next step

I mean, the reality is that the Panthers have basically only drafted three good WRs - Moose, Smitty, and DJ Moore. KB was on the way but that double whammy of tearing his ACL and loosing his mom derailed him.

But then again, we've only drafted three 1st round WRs and never drafted a WR higher than #24.

Back in the 1960's (before my time of course) the Redskins had a Hall of Fame QB (Sonny Jurgensen), 2 Hall of Fame receivers (Bobby Mitchell and Charlie Taylor), and a TE who should arguably be in the Hall of Fame (Jerry Smith). They never came closer to sniffing a title because the team wasn't overly talented at the other positions.

I grew up watching the "Air Coryel" Chargers in the late 70's and early 80's. They had a HOF QB (Dan Flouts), HOF WR (Charlie Joiner), HOF TE (Kellen Winslow) and 2 WR's who actually had HOF talent but had fairly short prime years in their career (John Jefferson & Wes Chandler). They could score on anybody, but the defense was the Achilles hill for those squads. They made 2 AFC title games but never made it to the SB.

Minnesota had 2 HOF receivers, Chris Carter and Randy Moss,  in the 1990's /early 2000's. Same thing. 2 NFC title games, no SB appearance.

Even the 49er's history proves you don't need superstar receivers to win championships. People will be quick to point out that Jerry Rice and John Taylor were dominant players on the 88-89 title teams. But, Montana and Walsh had already won 2 SB's prior to their arrival with Dwight Clark and Freddie Solomon. Good players but and neither of those guys will ever make the Hall.

Look at who Brady was throwing to for his first 3 win between 2001-2004. Outside of Deion Branch I bet most of us couldn't name the other WR's on those teams.

Great WR's are always needed. However, their presence alone won't win a title. It takes a complete team.

      Man folks right on this site said Deion was gonna follow his son to the nfl and have a big impact on his draft stock with his interference and yet we have seen no such thing. He just signed an extension to stay in Colorado for the foreseeable future. The only thing we have seen is so called experts try to tank shedeurs stock with false accusations and rumors and deion just had to step in and shut it down. This why you have to stop listening to what certain people say. Too much hate and emotion in most opinions.

      That's sound logic! I think we could make a case for a few players. I know its not popular  with a few but Warren gives to the  identity we want. Tremble is mostly a blocker. Sanders flashed late but mostly a receiving  threat at the moment. Warren is an automatic 1st down, run blocks, runs the ball and can even line up and throw it. To me he is if you took the Taysom Hill and actually could play tight end too. I just think looking at Goedert, Kelce,  Laporta, Hoeckenson, Baltimore Tight ends, Knox and Kindcaid and etc... all the  last few teams had stellar Tight end play. Warren allows you to be unpredictable  on offense bc he is equally good at being a target, as he is a blocker. Don't want to run Bryce on a qb sneak, plug Warren in with the threat to pass. I would be happy with him, Walker or a few others. As long as the player isn't riding the bench year 1.

      Pretty good plan imo considering the following RBs on the schedule: Bijan Robinson (x2) Alvin Kamara (x2) Bucky Irving (x2) Christian McCaffrey Josh Jacobs Kyren Williams James Connor Breece Hall Plus there's back ups like Jets'  Braelon Allen, heavy rushing attacks like the Bills, and teams with an entire stable of backs like the Seahawks to account for.
