Joe Person: “It might not be at 8, but my sense is the #Panthers will find another pass catcher for (Bryce) Young fairly early in the draft”

I do like the second-round options at WR and TE, but it’s frustrating to see the team be so transparently need-oriented in the draft. Just feels like they’re locked into edge at 8, pass-catcher in the 2nd or 3rd.

Mock draft simulators are a good exercise. Check out PFF's free 3-round mock.

I swear this has nothing to do with me obviously wanting T-Mac, but I'm a HARD pass on a WR in the 2nd, literally solely based on our inability to hit on those picks over the years, we're really really bad at it and just seems like we throw those picks away.

Much rather use the 2nd on the defensive side of the ball no matter what we do with the 1st round pick.

?

I’m familiar with several of them, but my point is that we keep going into every draft chasing positions instead of grabbing the best value as it falls down the board. And it looks like we’re just doing more of that this year.

I’m looking forward to drafting another disappointing WR.

I was thinking the other about among many in the NFL scene, LSU is the best WR school, its the popular answer among many........... Then I think how on earth did the Panthers use two recent 2nd rounders and both were busts. Black cat luck.

I wouldn't hate T-Mac or Warren at #8. Not necessarily my preference but I wouldn't hate it.

#57? Maybe Higgins? Jalen Royals?

3rd round? Maybe Tai Felton? Jalin Noel?

I think CSU's Tory Horton is being slept on big time. He put up big time numbers the previous two years but missed most of this season with an injury. Out of sight out of mind. He ran a 4.41 40 with a 37.5" vertical at the Combine at 6' 2.5" 196.

Royals or Noel.  We suck at drafting 'X' WRs in the 2nd round.  Maybe if we target a slot guy, our luck may change. Remember, Theilen is just a one-year deal.  We need to think about his replacement.
