I know its part 2, so it's too late.  But I think it would have been more interesting if the trade back option was specified.  Like move back 10 spots to get a 2nd next year or 3rd this year.  Make it crappy enough that you have to really hate that list of players to pick it.  I think the real trade back offer(s) will be crappy.  We're just gonna have to pick someone.

Yeah I'm really only interested in a second with a trade back.  If you can't get that then pick your guy

You take Graham if he falls. If not it seems like we love Walker who I think will be the guy. Mykel Williams seems like their backup option if Walker is gone.

If one of the top defenders drop to us and the coaching staff is sold on them, you won’t hear any complaints from me. Ideally I would love to trade down. The inner fan in me would love nothing other than to draft Jeanty. I know it makes no sense, but I’d still use the pick on an absolute game changer. I never regretted drafting CMC back in the day, even with his injuries. If you feel a player could be an all pro go for it.

Yeah, Steelers don't have a second round pick so no.  The first half of the second round is going to be full of potential starters.   I hate we don't pick again until 57.

We could move back to 10, 11, or 12 (Chi, SF, or DAL) and get an extra 3rd. 

The only team I could see willing to give up a 2nd is Seattle, who have 50 and 52.  That would drop us back to 18.  Still lots of really good guys back there and that extra 2nd would be sweet.

I feel there's 50% chance Graham will be at 8. Teams just don't draft DT high, even elite ones.

Currently this is my best guess to how the draft falls, everyone has the same top 3 picks.

Yeah I know, it would have to be like a first next year, a first in 2027, 2nd in 2026 and maybe a 4rth or something this year.  21 to 8 is a long way to move.  Maybe this is true I dont know, its lying season.

According to ESPN NFL draft analyst Matt Miller, Sanders should want to play for the Steelers and him making it that far would be a good thing for him and for Pittsburgh.

Miller points to the Steelers run game and offensive line as reasons Sanders should want to play in Pittsburgh. Those are both fairly arguable points but the run game is going to need a serious overhaul after Najee Harris left in free agency. He also notes that Sanders is a good fit with head coach Mike Tomlin.

If the Steelers do decide to target Sanders, they would almost certainly have to trade up ahead of the New Orleans Saints at a minimum. If the Steelers think he's the answer, it would be an expensive move to go up and get him.

 

For you guys keeping score at home, Saints are at 9, your carolina panthers 8.   Probably not feasible for either team but there is certainly a way to thread the needle and making it happen.  But it would have to be a poo load of capital and maybe a player or 2.    Maybe minka?
