Thread for the people who stuck by Matt Moore

You seem to be the only reasonable guy in your little group. Kudos for being able to see beyond the crap and give a player his due. You would think this was a discussion among rival fans not fans of the same team. Amazing why people can't be happy when we win and give players their due.

Explain please, how saying he played a vital role in winning is not giving him his due.

So me saying

It was a team effort Oline and Moore played better

Is not reasonable?

I also said "Matt did great but alot of things went our way also".

But this wasn't good enough either for P55.

Unless your on your Knees praying to the God of Moore your not being reasonable.

Exactly. It's laughable. I give the guy credit but if all praise isn't to Moore, it doesn't count for some dumbass reason.

Good grief. It's always a team effort, but there is no denying that Matt Moore made a big freakin difference today. I guarantee you that every player on that offense would tell you that if you asked them.

Why can't people just give the man credit without trying to tear him down at the same time? Don't worry, Clausen will get his chance again sooner or later.

Exactly. This board has gone to crap for about a year with all the factions and fighting. We used to have discussions and disagreements in the past but this kind of ying yang is ridiculous. It is hard to see where people are Panther fans anymore. Now it is all about one player or the other. It really started with the Moore Delhomme fights last year and has picked right up with the Moore Clausen fights.

You would think we are on a rival board not a Panthers one. People can't even be happy with a win without keeping up the back and forth. We used to be happy when players did well and were able to even overlook issues and problems, now we are even downgrading great performances.

What is laughable, is the fans who hate to admit how well moore played today.

Did gettis step up today? Probaly cemented the starting position for the rest of the season.

Did the other rook step up today? He had some nice catches.

Did steve smith have an impact? Yes, but not as much as some claim he did.

Can't say the oline played that much better than previous weeks. The running game sucked. 49ers had it contained pretty good. What's that, they have a good defense?

Yet Moore was the man leading the offense, being very accurate with his throws. He spread the ball around, and got it into the hands of our receivers to make plays.

Yet most don't care, cause all they can think about is moore won't be here next season.

Stop worrying about next season for now. Worry about this one. I don't care what the odds are, this team hasn't given up, and they won't. Most fans would embrace that. But instead, let's argue about that lack of importance the qb had in todays game, and the lack of a future he has!

Nicely said.

I know some people don't care about today but for the 60,000 Panther fans in the stadium and all the fans watching on TV, it was pretty darn important. A terrific win.

No people do admit he had a great game but alot of thing were diffrent not just QB play. But that not good enough.

PC you and P55 were really good at breaking down stuff but now IDK.

Moore had a very good game. Now can I say gettis played better 2 so did the new oline set.

Does Moore get all the credit for this win?

If so then we will just agree 2 disagree and move on.

Were there 60k people there today? That is pretty good, considering how we'd been doing.

It was a great win. It was hardfought and huge contributions all over the place, with Moore leading a couple perfect drives. I loved watching it.

For the first time all year I really thought we could move the ball at the end and score. Totally different feeling today than I had the first 5 games.

    • So this has been one of my biggest concerns with Canales and it's the downside of having some young offensive guy who doesn't have full staff control. like what is the org chart for this decision?  With canales, who does he know or has worked with that he can tap? He hasn't been in Seattle in 2 seasons and all those guys are gone anyway. He wasn't even that high up on the org chart in Seattle so it's unclear who he would have regularly interacted with. QB coaches generally aren't going to be in the split squad meetings, at least not regularly. Just glancing at the coaching staff, Clint Hurt jumps out. He was DC in 2022 and is currently the dline coach in Philadelphia, but that team is the brainchild of roseman and i'd be very hesitant to bring in someone who was allowed to walk from seattle and would be having a SUBSTANTIAL decline in talent here in Carolina. With Tampa, that defense is a shambles and fans want Bowles out. It's a very top heavy coaching staff too; Bowles is very involved so there isn't some bright up and comer, from what Bucs fans elsewhere have said. Someone from the Bills maybe? Morgan was last there in 2020. Who could he call? No one established is going to take that position for a few reasons. There very little talent on that side of the ball, so you're not getting the rockstar mercenaries to come here. They're probably going to struggle to bring in some hot up and comer, since anyone with ambition is going to see how Tepper handled evero's request to interview for other positions and not want to deal with that. That's a problem the team has created on its own and I don't know how to fix it until they have someone leave for a promotion, which is going to be difficult with how dogshit this franchise is. And then, any agent is going to tell their client that the Panthers let the whole defense eat poo heading into 2023 just to "give bryce weapons." they let two starters walk and traded away a third. who would want to come in to this? how are you going to build/retain talent? There's only a few logical possibilities from my perspective 1. Someone out of nowhere who just crushes their interview 2. Someone from a good defense promoted WAY earlier than they should be and you just hope for the best 3. Extend Evero. I know a lot of people hate this but I think it's going to be the best option. This is the problem with Canales as coach. I don't want to go into what I think about the offense in this post, today or as it projects, but it's just not going to be easy for him to assemble a staff, if he even has the power to do so. For all we know Morgan is handling all defensive positions and hires. unclear org charts are a hallmark sign of a poorly run organization. I dunno. i think it's lowkey the biggest problem on the team, even moreso than the QB position.
