Thread for the people who stuck by Matt Moore

I dont hate the guy. I just know he is not gonna be our "Future" QB.

Well I hope JC ends up being the next Tom Brady, but there are no guarantees in this business. I don't think MM will be going anywhere if he keeps playing like he did today though. Meanwhile, sitting and watching will only help JC going forward.

Got about a 3rd through this thread. And the arguments is some terrible arguements.

Whether we won, lost, regardless who our opponent is, moore is a better qb at this time. He has much better command of our offense, and he played very well.

Our fan base has mailed in this season. The evidence is everywhere on this board.

From people hating on moore, to the ignorance than john fox is only going through the motions.

Thank god our coaching staff is better than anyone gives them credit for....or they'd had mailed it in just like so many so called fans.

Matt is a better QB right now and he should be he has 4 years in the system.

I don't think Fox has given up but Fox has put himself in confilt with the owner of this team. They are not even talking so right now what Fox doing is showcaseing for other teams.

Imagine if Jimmy had the protection Moore had today

;)

Seriously, you think the protection was magically better today and that Moore's play had nothing to do with it. SF has more sacks than Chicago, New Orleans and Cincinatti even accounting for the diffrence in games. There was a lot of pressure on Moore today but he hung in there, found his receivers and threw the ball away when he needed to (except for the pick). There was better protection due to the better quarterback play, they work had in hand. When they blitzed for the most part Moore made them pay.

The protection was better Mack B was getting beat alot in pass protection up the middle messing with both QB. Moore did play very good today but it wasn't all him. The Wr caught balls smith was back and the oline did very good pass blocking. Plus def. saved alot of mistakes from being worst. This was a full team effort.

If you think that the only difference between the offense in this game and against Chicago was Matt Moore, you're delusional.

Moore played well. Let's not take anything away from that, but he didn't do it alone.

This was a team effort. Can we just accept that?

Also..

Nobody knows who is going to be the future qb of this franchise.

If matt plays as well as he has the majority of his starting career, he could easily be signed to an extension, as no new coach is going to want to go with clausen learning a new system in his 2nd year in the pros.

The future isn't what this season is about...stop mailing in the season cause you as a fan already gave up.

Absolutely but it's also not a mystery one plays off the other. The team played better because they also had more confidence in their leader. Then the QB can also do better, and so on and so on. It's a snowball effect. This is a team sport so it makes sense it requires the entire team to win but the biggest difference today compared to the rest of the season was QB play and the other field position(including special teams). That was clear.

The running game still stunk.

The same receivers were out there.

And the O-line was still average at best.

Respectfully disagree.

Fox is doing everything he can to improve the team. That's called coaching.

You can call it whatever you want to.

The running game did stink, but the same receivers were not out there as were out there last week. The O-Line saw a replacement which, IMO, really helped.

Moore did great. So did his receivers. Not saying anyone else coulda done the same or better... just saying let's spread the praise around because a lot of them deserve it. :)

agreed. Regardless of his motive, which none of us know, he's coaching. While I still question many of the coaching decisions in this game, there's no doubt they looked better prepared.
