With a largely healthy team, a new cast of WRs and no Dwayne Jarrett to kick around, the Panthers had actual decisions to make on the inactive list.

Rookie Armanti Edwards was back down, along with newcomer Devin Thomas, leaving the Panthers with Steve Smith, rookies David Gettis and Brandon LaFell and David Clowney.

Also inactive were RB Tyrell Sutton, DT Andre Neblett and CB C.J. Wilson, along with injured RT Jeff Otah, LB Jamar Williams and third QB Tony Pike.
