Canon Rebel XS question

Recommended Posts

Don't know if anyone has a Canon Rebel XS but my wife's friend let us borrow hers for a wedding we are shooting. We already have an XTI and when I use manual mode, all you have to do is simply hit "SET" and use the dial to scroll through the options such as shutter, iso, the fstops and flash exposure.

On the XS, I tried to doing it the same way except when you hit "SET" it goes to a blank black screen for a second and back to the settings. I am trying to figure out how you change the fstops and flash exposure on the XS on manual... Anybody know how?

ive got an XTI too, but i found the manual for the XS and it says(p75) that in manual mode the wheel changes shutter, then hold the AV+/- button and turn the wheel to change aperture. To change the FE, it looks like you just go into the menu and find the tab with the camera with a flash on it, icon.
