Bobcats up 42 in Atlanta

It's preseason, but rock on, guys! Team is playing better. Barring a 4th quarter collapse, they should have a 4 game winning streak. Don't let people tell you preseason means nothing. As Panther fans we know preseason can and often does predict how parts of your season will go.

If Livingston and Henderson would get/stay healthy I think this team could be a really good regular season team, maybe even a #4 seed (bit optimistic).

Still don't think they can win a playoff series. Hopefully Atlanta or Milwaukee will finish 4 or 5, we would at least compete against them.

The goal for this season should be at least 42 wins. If the Bobcats can achieve that, it'll be something their big brothers the Panthers have never done, back to back winning seasons. I still think we can get in the dance, but I agree, not sure if we can win a series with what we have. Either way I expect us to contend in the regular season and pull off a couple huge upsets like we normally do.

    • Karlaftis and Danna have been pretty inconsistent so teams have been doubling Jones and able to contain their pass rush.   But the good thing is that yesterday, we schemed well against Steve Spags Defense, Canales married the surrounding personnel with his QB through play designs within his comfort zone and was able to get downfield at will.  He was able to execute higher difficulty throws and look a lot more comfortable.  It tells me that Canales has a good system in mind, and had an edge gameplanning wise against Spagnuolo - which is nice to see.  It's a bit to see-saw at times with either going way too pass heavy or way too run heavy, but I think he's finding out what works.  It takes time to have it come together, and sure, I could see regression happen against a better front-7, but this was good for the entire system gelling.
    • This was evident first two weeks of season. I don’t see any issues with physical tools since he came back. I think he is a player that must play with confidence to overcome those size limitations and he’s doing that.
    • Still 3-10 on passes over 15 yards.  At least he's not scared to merely attempt them anymore.  Where I see improvement is the 10-15 yard range.  He was 6-6.  Bryce of old was scatter shot on anything beyond 10 yards and the further out, the worse the accuracy.
