Buckner is a POS for speaking ill of Pep just because Pep apparently wants to leave. His mouth belies what little class that he really has. Furthermore, Buckner---like all of us---have seen what Julius did for our defense, and what he has done for our defense on Sundays. So don't give me any of that he knows better than the fans crap. Buckner was never ever the talent that Peppers was, and it showed on the field. As a matter of fact, he benefited from the presence of Peppers, just like everyone on the O-line has.

What the hell has Peppers done for the defense on Sundays? He was dominated by rookies and journeymen LT's this season....he disappears for games at a time....when he gets blocked at the point of attack, he gives up...he is a freak athlete, but is not a dominant player.

Buckner is kind of a mixed bag for me. Sometimes when I listen to him he makes perfect sense. Other times he just sounds way off the mark. He's got a pretty good "football mind" but as a talent evaluator he's iffy.

Coaches used to say that Buckner would someday be a head coach in the NFL because he had such phenomenal football knowledge. So why isn't he? Knowledge isn't enough. You also have to have people skills, and it sounds like that's where he's lacking.

As to this particular discussion, he might actually be right when he talks about Peppers effort and work ethic lacking, but his comments sound tainted by a personal dislike.

In other words, he might be right, but he's overdoing it.

True. A lot of people ripped Moose when he went to Chicago, maybe even myself (I can't remember). As soon as he came back though it was all good again.

When people ripped Moose it was because of the money. No one was saying that he had lost a step or didn't give it 100%, and Moose made it clear throughout the process that it was a business decision only. Moose never disappointed, and still delivers exactly what you expect from him.

Exactly, I was disapointed when Moose left for the money, but I wasn't mad at him. Peppers situation is different. He's gonna get paid, whether it's here or somewhere else. I'm mad that he half assed it through two seasons.
