Brentson Buckner rips Peppers on WFNZ

I do pay attention. I see times when he is worn out (along with the rest of the defense) and I also see him doing his assignments. You can say whatever you want to, but I do pay attention to the game.

I also don't hate Buckner. Never have, never will. But I do understand him for the person that he is. An average DT, that has good knowledge of the game, and loves to talk. Nothing wrong with that.

People confuse Explosive plays with regular plays and non explosive plays(regular plays) as taking plays off, the other team plays foot ball too, and a lot of fans and just to stress that point again a lot of fans make the mistake of thinking that every play should be a sack, Offensive coordinators game plan for players sometimes it's more noticeable then others, if the OC notices that the refs will let you get away with murder when holding Peppers then why double team him? or roll the play away from him, because the other side isn't strong enough to bring the pressure.

Things like this I have noticed all season long, but a lot of people don't notice it, earlier in the season a lot of people were Bitching about Peppers in the 1st Cardinals game, and I broke down the entire game every series that Peppers was in on and posted it here, and guess what, they almost never ran a play in his direction they had like 3 in the whole first half out of like 30, and even then he was doubled and chipped quit a bit.

Everyone goes "wtf Peppers why are you taking the play off" and I see the stuff I mentioned above, now does he take some plays off? yeah he might take one or 2 a game but it's not every damn play that isn't a sack.

Isn't it a coincidence that Peppers put up his highest sack total of his career in a contract year?

Means he only plays hard when its in his best interest.

uhg... If I were a mod I would start 24 hour banning people whenever they said this, because it's stupid, lucky for you I'm not.

Panthers1789 let me ask you this question: why is what you said stupid?

think about it and respond

I never will hear anything on that show. Worst sh*t on the radio as far as sports goes. FG is the biggest douche in broadcasting

Frank can really be an ass at times but buck is really good for the most part though as long as he isn't talking about Peppers(reasons for me saying this are posted earlier in this thread.

2006 was not a contract year. As a matter of fact, if you look at his entire career, he has had one legitimate "off" year. Why in the hell do people keep insinuating that Pep doesn't play hard? It has got to be something personal.

And, yes, Buckner is a classless, jealous piece of crap that benefited because of Peppers. You can see all of the supposed ills about Pep, but you can't see that. There's something wrong with that picture.

I still like Pep as a player and anything Buck says means NOTHING to me... remember we let him go b/c he was a cancer in the locker room, and he was playing poorly

so Buckner isnt the best gauge to go by

IIRC we released Buckner more b/c of his age and diminishing skills rather than anything else. Which would be evident in the fact that no other team signed him afterwards, even though some had considered it. I put a lot more weight in what Buckner says because I believe he just speaks the truth.

And yeah, maybe he does a have a personal beef with Pep now, because imagine being Buckner playing with him. Not as talented physically but giving your all every play to do your part for the team and you look over at Pep, quite possible the most talented and athletic defender in the league get held up at the LOS by a mediocre lineman and not fight through it.

I wasn't one way or another on Pep, I had hoped we kept him but I had a feeling he was half-assing it on the field, so if he left, I thought it would be cordial and we could get draft picks. What pissed me off about Pep is all the lip service immediately following our loss to the Cards, and then he comes out a week later with a classless move to force the Panthers hand. That in itself tells he has no respect for the coaching staff or organization.

I always admired Buck, he tells it like it is. I loved when he played for us and thought he should've made at least one Pro Bowl... The guy balled. I loved watching his interviews on NFLN when he was still playing for us, his insight and perspective are unique and honest. I put a lot of weight into what he says about Pep, or anyone for that matter.

Everything Buck said is true...I was in denial because I was such a huge fan, but this guy knows Pep better than all of us and everything he is saying is pretty obvious if you look at it.

Remember all those games we analyzed about how well Pep was going to do because of the rookies he was going up against or how other sack leaders had career days against them...then Pep goes out and lays an egg and doesn't even show up. A complete non-factor.

Pep having his agent announce that he wants out of Charlotte fuq'd us big time so as far as I'm concerned, good riddance. DIAF!

well like i said before, he wont be letting me down again.
