The original "Hitcher" with Rutger Hauer.

Not exactly under the radar, but I'm constantly amazed by how few have seen it.

Truly badass.

The truck scene in that made me cringe.

That's another one where the director realized a lack of backstory and a general feeling of "who the heck is this guy" made it scarier.

yea visually they were badass especially for the budget.

another one to check out is "Let the Right One In."

Polish movie that was ripped off to make "Let Me In."

MUCH better.

There was also a film called "Dead End" that came out in 2003. I thought it was pretty creepy.

I watched this tonight. I definitely liked it, but as soon as I recognized that the mother was the same lady who played the ugly landlady from KingPin and Magda from Something About Mary I had trouble taking it as seriously.
