WR shortage takes toll in Carolina

help me out those smarter than I to better organize what I'm seeing on Sundays...

The run game is going stay bad (for the most obvious of reasons).. don't tell me we need to run more.. The play-action is non-existent with no run game.. we need more time to pass for deeper routes (which is what our offense is based on).. and we need our receivers to be above average route runners on much more consistent basis for the deep ball (15 yard+)...

help me understand how it's so hard to get 4 receivers on the field and not find 1 or 2 open?

would this not take some of the equation out with our OLine issues by not needing 5 seconds to get the ball out?

and with that in mind, is there a reason to think we have to heave the ball 30 yards down the field, when instead assert more 5 yard passes into the game plan?

and is it appropriate to say the short routes aren't the focal point but more of a diversion in what we've seen already? when instead if we look toward the deeper routes as the diversion and devise better schemes to get the 5 yard routes open...

Are we really that bad where Goodson, Gettis, Smitty, DWill, or Rosario absolutely can not be effective in a 5 yard gameplan while they are all on the field? (well at least 4 of them)

and if we were to have success with better short yardage schemes, the run game will open up with less in the box due to 4 receivers on the field and a change in philosophy that every defense in the league doesn't expect...
