I once broke up with a girl because she asked me for 10 bucks, then turned around and gave it to a homeless man outside Fox and Hound. We broke up because I wasn't too fond of her little move. She yelled at me from there all the way back to my car, three blocks away.

Man fook that. Tell her to go to an ATM and get her own 10 out.

Didn't seem like a good idea. That same night I was berated for money by about 10 different homeless people so my rejection radar was on full blast.

I wouldn't sweat it. If he was able to get himself to a phone or a cab then you did the right thing. He could've been trouble.
