Let's all insult each other over football.

I agree.

You know what, thunderraiden posted a couple threads and received a ton of hate for it. I even posted a link to a thread where someone had already expressed his opinion.

When it comes down to it, it's just football. And these are just opinions, even if we've heard these opinions over and over.

Everybody head to his thread and give him some rep, pie, or just let him know you care, damn it!

I think it's great how posters here dish out negative and insulting comments like it's some kind of contest to act like a know-it-all jackass. You all realize that this is a forum dedicated to discussing big sweaty millionaire dudes that romp around on a grassy field chasing an oblonged shapened leather ball once a week for less than half the year. If you believe this to be a reason to expell your built up negative energy...I'd reccomend pulling over on the road of life and reconsidering your beliefs.

BTW Fantasy Football is some kind of strange gay porn I was recently informed.

Just get some perspective, please.

I am not acting.....I am a know-it-all jackass.:D

Just could not resist the temptation....sorry.

From that thread

Didn't one Panther player poop his pants during the '07? Great thread.

i'm starting to wonder how i've stuck around so long. everyday there is more threads I don't want to even open. fortunately there is the lounge.

I agree. with all this crap lately going on with our qbs and stupid rumor threads its almost obnoxious to come in here.

normally the day of a game (i haven't been a member here yet for a day of a game where we win), but after the game, I usually wont come on here until Monday to let things cool off a bit and for the nay saying jackasses to give their 2 cents which I don't care about b/c its normally some sort of bitching and moaning and then disappear again.

I think it has to do with age. I'm 35 and am growing tired of arguing on a message board. Not only is it a waste of energy (as you'll never win a debate), but it's pretty pathetic. But I imagine a younger dude, maybe 18 to his mid-twenties, is still full of that that male ego infused, I Have To Be Right attitude. He's the one that can't let things go, is quick to insult, always thinks he's right, and simply must feel superior.

I've learned the best way to handle this forum (though I don't always do it), is to have your say in a thread, then never return to it because you know the debate will drag on for days and days and days. I also agree that it's a shame we're arguing and insulting one another over our OWN team.

Thats the best thing about being older. I don't have to be right, although I usually am. :)

I respectfully disagree.

i used to think facebook was stupid, but at least over there things are positive, and don't put a damper on my day.

post win days are good for the most part. lots of cheer, and only some picking apart of mistakes by the team.

I just think some of us take this shiz too seriously...(myself included)

I think we all do, to some degree.

I remember about two years ago (maybe a little less) I was really pissed at Electro after several comments he made regarding my posts. I just went off on him one day and, to my surprise, he acquiesced and admitted he was wrong. We were good "e-friends" ever since. As cheesey as it sounds, I really learned something from that. You've got to give people the benefit of the doubt, and more often than not, you need to respond in kindness. There are some really good people on this forum, but you wouldn't know it if you reduced them to a screenname with a different opinion than yours.

I think it's all too easy to lash out to someone from behind a computer screen. We all need to realize that we're all people and Panthers fans, first and foremost.

:cheers2:
