How come Jimmy...

Moore has been here longer, and I'm certain he knows how to handle the media. You are using flimsy evidence and seeing what you want to see from it instead of taking it at face value.

I am having a discussion about this too. I am discussing the validity of your assumption. I say it is invalid. You have not shown me why I should make the assumption that you are making. You just made wild claims and took this evidence and ran with it. Sorry I can't accept it as fact.

I never said it was a fact it was my opinion. Let me lay it out again.

Jimmy has been accused of being a "bad teammate" and having attitude problems in the past.

Jimmy was made available for comment when the team was 0-5 and his ND team was 0-5. That was presumably not an ideal situation for an interview but it still happened.

Jimmy has been in the limelight his whole life so he should be able to handle the media by now.

Moore stood and answered questions all camp about "How is Jimmy" (like he really cared) and stood and answered them again when he got benched for Jimmy. Moore was not allowed to hide behind anything or anyone.

Jimmy was allowed to answer questions when he was named the starter. He was also made available after his worst performance of the year against the Bears.

Why was he not made available after he got benched? He's had other tough interviews. The media has an infatuation with this kid since high school and they like hearing what he has to say.

This leads me to believe that they did not want him in front of a camera because he would say something they wouldn't like. I don't know who made the decision, Jimmy or the organization but it just strikes me as odd. This is something he hasn't had to deal with in his life and no one knows how he would handle it but until we hear something from him I assume he's not taking it well.

We may still hear something. Who cares, I think he has been embaressed enough, don't you?

therealdeal is looking for any reason to talk crap about jimmy. you take that away and he has very little reason for starting threads or posting at all. it's amazing how a little bit of jealousy for someone's upbringing can turn into such an obsession.

the same is doubly true for pffl.

Okay, thank you for the clarification. I can see where you would make these connections, but I just don't see it this way. Can you see where he has been accused of being a bad teammate since he has arrived here? I haven't followed it closely, admittedly, but I would like to see an article or quote to back up this.

I think making him interview when we were 0-5 or when ND was 0-5 was a bad bad choice. You shouldn't let the media eat alive your young QB. Try to protect him.

Jimmy has actually been really bad at appearing in the media. See: limo incident, etc. I think he hasn't been bad since he's gotten here, but I still don't like him appearing in front of the media and I hope Fox or whoever

makes this decision sees this as well.

I don't know how he's taking it either. I usually don't like to jump to conclusions (usually) but I can see the validity of your argument. However, I think you take a fairly big jump from "not appearing in front of media" and "FO or Fox thinks he will say something bad". I think it's more of "he has nothing to say and no reason to get eaten up by the reporters". I hope I'm right.

:cheers2:

Uhm...."Clausen's upbringing" isn't exactly something one would be jealous about.

Even if you are only talking about his success as an athlete, which I think you are, isn't something most people would want. Not sure if I would have liked to eath, breathe, and poo football all my life since I was a little kid.

I have a feeling if Jimmy cracks in the NFL, he's going to go psycho on his old man. I never understood parents that do that poo to their kids. You ever watched the movie the Little Giants?

Why would you want to grow up as him?

Perhaps a mod should check IP addresses, assuming they're not using a proxy. I'd totally be willing to bet P55, TRD, PFFL, Sylvian, and CRA are all the same guy. ;)

jealousy? meh. it seems more like they are very emotionally-invested in moore after last season. I can see it after all the hype he got on here after he had pretty good games against pretty good teams. i think they are probably a bit too attached to moore but they feel he gives us the best chance to win, and they're very passionate about this idea. i certainly don't agree with how they say some things or argue, but it is understandable.

You paint a very inaccurate picture with your very wide brush. Something most posters know to be not even close.

just sayin..............
