Why everyone should be ok with the QB change

It was easier to sell that Matt Moore is a winner argument before the season.

The fact is that he already lost his job once this season.

If he comes back and plays great it's unfortunately going to be more cleanup and not going to change many opinions about his ability to lead a team to the promised land as a starter.

All this said, I wish the guy the best.

again, trying to define a guy off of 7 quarters of play w/ a concussion mixed in.....doesn't make a lot of sense. Fox really screwed Moore by pulling him too early......all Moore can do is go out and be the guy that got him the job heading into this season.

Maybe I'm the one that is crazy, but they would have to be out of thier minds to draft another rookie quarterback.

The FO would be crazy to give up on a rookie after a few games no matter what the new coach wants. Remember the coaches are only a part of the draft process since after all it's the owners money.

But aside from all that, these guys would be crazy to gamble on another rookie. I keep saying over and over, this team is short on experience and not youth. They don't need more youth they are already the youngest team in the NFL. They need an established quarterback to come in and either play right away or develop someone.

Cleveland - Delhomme. Washington - McNabb. Seattle - waivers.

All of these teams had new coaches come in last season and none of them used their first round pick on a quarterback. Thinking that another rookie is going to come in and light it up relative to Clausen or Moore is borderline crazy IMO.

it depends on a couple things...is he who the new HC wants to build the offense around? are we going to go sans any real vet QB presence again?

i can see letting moore go and trading clausen off to a WCO team and drafting luck IF we get a solid vet presence on the sidelines (chad pennington) and also if we have a coaching staff that actually knows what its doing and has a track record of success (not rip scherer or mccoy).

it would be nice if the QB of the future is already on our team but i'm not convinced at all that he is. he might be but i'm just not seeing it yet. i'm more than willing to let our new HC go with whatever QB he wants to build around.

well, we run a playaction offense. Jake Delhomme didn't take us to 2 NFCCGs in this offense b/c of precision. Hand it off and go downfield. Moore does that......that is why we have won more than we lost with him at QB.

The disturbing thing that I saw in Moore this season was an inability to recognize defenses and make proper adjustments/reads.
