Why everyone should be ok with the QB change

I think Clausen should have sat all year.. it was a bit exciting before that 1st game he started just to see what he might do.. but as expected, it wasn't going to be pretty to watch a rookie QB in this offense..

let the kid sit.. don't David Carr the kid in a season that has this kind of disastrous potential..

Yea and playing musical QBs has always been the way to win game right?

Like it or not we are the Carolina Browns. They are fugging up both our QBs confidants right now and we are prob going be screwed next year because of this crap.

Lol. Okay dude.

Honesty, the change in offensive scheme next year will have more of an impact on mr fummbles..I mean clausen.

Putting moore back in at this point isn't musical qbs. If the flop back to clausen after another game or two, then it'll be what you and scot are scared of. Wanting to go back to the vet after trying and failing to spark the offense, is just doing what one can to try to win some games.

Benching clausen ain't going to hurt him. he understands he's not playing well. He also understands moore has nfl experience, and more success with davidson. Sad, but true.

Clausen is a big kid. He can handle this.

Yet we won with him him leading last year...against top defenses.

But now heks worthless. Gotcha.

QB change every other week isn't what's going to spark the offense

and other than that moore has terrible precision so i don't know what the hell the coaching staff thinks they're doing but it's not going to work

Yes it is. But there is a big difference.

Matt played bad.

Jimmy is bad.

Matt played bad, but we know he can play better. Jimmy played bad, but we don't know that he can play better this year no matter how many starts he gets. If anything he's shown he's not ready and can't.

For Matt he can go back to being consistent as quickly as this Sunday. Can you say the same thing about Jimmy? Can you say Jimmy would come in this sunday, play great, and continue to play great consistently for the remainder of the season?

Not with those rookie shoes. Jimmy needs a minimum of a year on the bench and regular NFL practices to be ready as a starter. If anything it proved that even playing in an pro-style offense in college is no preparation for the real thing.

I think Jimmy would have played better on Sunday. I definitely think he has more potential than Moore. I think Moore has proven he is a good backup quarterback and can win games that don't count.

That's really all I can say for certain at this point.

well, we run a playaction offense. Jake Delhomme didn't take us to 2 NFCCGs in this offense b/c of precision. Hand it off and go downfield. Moore does that......that is why we have won more than we lost with him at QB.

Saturday's are sadly where he should be playing right now.

its not that clausen didn't play well enough.... NOBODY is going to play well enough with this playcalling, and poor offensive line play. Moore is nothing special, don't you remember when he himself lost this same job just a few games ago? nothing changed when jimmy went in, and nothing will change when matt goes in. and why is that? because our problems don't lie with jimmy or matt, they lie in all of these other areas and changing QB's doesn't fix problems in other areas.

expect moore of the same because it's exactly what we're going to get.

It was easier to sell that Matt Moore is a winner argument before the season.

The fact is that he already lost his job once this season.

If he comes back and plays great it's unfortunately going to be more cleanup and not going to change many opinions about his ability to lead a team to the promised land as a starter.

All this said, I wish the guy the best.

That isn't the way most folks would see it. If Moore did well from here on out it would show that Fox was too quick to pull him and should have stuck with him.

Bigger yet if the offense improves, it would belie all the countless posts suggesting that the receivers suck, the o-line is trash and that the playcalling is horrendous.

well........... maybe the playcalling still sucks.

But it would certainly discount the widely held belief that the O-line is the problem with everything this year. And give credence to the idea that good quarterback play is the key to improving.

And if Moore sucks it will either suggest that he just plain sucks no matter what, or it confirms everyone's ideas that no matter what happens at quarterback, this offense is hopeless this year.

You are one of the reasons there are so many idiots posting about how Moore is terrible. If anything his precision is one thing I like about him.

I'm just wondering if most of your 4000 posts were so full of poo. You don't know what you are talking about.
