Ok so Andrew Luck is brand new to this and he just fired their HC last week.  This is a panic move.  Makes sense now.

Good for Frank on stop gap deal.  If Stanford balls out, he may be asked to stay.  He's probably still bitter how he got railroaded here by Tepper and wants to give it another go with a front office guy he knows and trusts.

Stanford leadership doesn't care about sports.  It's the reason their previous football coach was allowed to not only suck, but to also to be a complete scumbag and no one did anything until one of the ladies went to the national media.
