the fact remains that Moore is far less likely to be on the roster next year compared to Clausen. That does not mean that he won't make it, just less likely.

I think the likelyhood of that is entirely in Matt's hands and what he does with the remainder of this season and with what is going to be his last opportunity to prove himself. If he runs with it, he stays. If he doesn't he won't and he probably shouldn't anyway. If he puts up an average performance there is no reason to pay him more when we could get the same out of the rookies.

go ahead and make one.

make sure to bash both other qbs when doing it. point out every flaw you can imagine, and make up some, too. draw a line in the sand and make it clear that people are either for pike or against him. there is no middle ground. if possible, give him some dumbass nickname, too.

yup. basically, Moore needs to play better than Clausen needs to play to retain a roster spot. This is why I say that Moore has less of a chance. Of course, if you subscribe to the line of thought that Moore will play much better than Clausen, it shouldn't be all that much less of a chance.

The reality is that Moore has led the Panthers to victory in the past. Clausen has not. Starting Moore is a good idea based on the chance that he may play at a high level, as he has proven he can do.

Moore's extremely poor play can be partly attributed to the Panther's O-line getting raped in pass defense, especially against the Gaints. Kalil looked like a 3 year old trying to stop his father from going to work in that game. Moore was terrified during the Gaints game (imo), and this resulted in him making decisions that no rational human being would make. His decisions were fear based, and therefore mostly wrong. Comically wrong. He sustained a concussion near the end of the Giants game, and clearly wasn't comfortable from that point on.

Moore is getting a second chance, and I agree with the decision. Moore will have a chance to play like he did last season, cool, calm, and collect. He had a smooth rythm to his play last season (barring the Pats game), and he was able to carve up good secondaries. He wasn't afraid last season, and if he isn't afraid in the 49ers game, then I think he'll play well. If you go back and watch the Pats game, Moore was out of rythm and jittery in the first half, but as the game wore on he got into a rythm and started making a lot of good throws. I think the 49ers game may be the same way. He'll start out poorly, but if our defense can keep it close, I think he'll give us a chance to win.

Matt Moore has just as big a chance of being the new franchise QB as does Jimmy. In fact I'd say if he finishes this season strong he's a lot closer to that right now.

I DOUBT THAT. Moore is a good guy & a story most people like, but as far as being here next year, KEEP DREAMING. (1) matt has to want to be here & the team has to want him here.(2) even if he plays well, ya think the panthers will franchise tag him to keep him(NO)

I just hope we win at this point. I really don't care who is at QB.

WAIT, I do care!! I sure as H3LL DON'T want to see Edwards at QB.

Edwards is the only decent QB that we have.

When Clausen was starting he needed to get experience but now that he's benched it's good so he doesn't get hurt. Reminds me of a 7 year old that got left out of game with his friends.

"Hey guys can I play?"

"Hell no get out of here!"

"Yeah I didn't want to play anyway I have something way more cooler to do!!!" (Goes home and cries)

Clausen has shown that he is not a legitimate QB. How hard is it to see that.

I want the best QB to play whether it be Moore or Clausen. People need to learn this is a fuggin team game! Not a GD! individual game!

Clausen did not win the job. Unfortunately, Moore has not won the job back.

This is a case of two QB's who are playing atrocious. Take your prick...neither give the Panthers any more chance of winning.

The fact is...neither Moore nor Clausen deserve to start. We just don't have any better options.

Moore is this week's tallest Pygmie.

Neither Moore nor Clausen deserve to start, how true, put Armanti Edwards in at QB and stop this crap. If the coaches cannot think out of the box then we will never win.
