Stop being stupid, people. Moore v. Clausen hardly matters

Here we go again, like some bad seesaw ride. At this point, the debate is really not about whether Moore or Clausen is the "future of the franchise". Don't you see that it has become a real possibility that neither one of these guys will be here next season? WTF are you debating? The season, and the team has been blown up. This is a transition period between the old and the new. Unless Matt Moore comes in and wins at least 8 out of 11 games, he ain't even in the conversation anymore. Clausen is still a rookie who has looked "scared" behind an O-line that will undoubtedly change next season unless the guys pull their heads out of their asses.

Get real, people. There is a real possibility that a new coach will bring in his own guy, Moore will not be re-signed, and Clausen will be dealt elsewhere. And, to be honest, the way that our O-line has been performing, as well as our young and suspect receiving corps, why is there any reason to debate about who starts? Ultimately it's not going to make a difference, especially this year, and, probably not next year either. Everything, and everyone, is up in the air.

Not necessarily, though you are probably correct. Now, that doesn't mean he'll be starting. You also have to know that it doesn't necessarily mean that a new regime won't be drafting Luck, Locker or acquiring someone else. Two rookies on a team makes one of them expendable (and an easy pick-up for someone else if the Panthers were to shop him).

Weinke got his chance to "shine" beyond just 3 games... Clausen will too, and it may be this season.

If the panthers go nowhere, even if Moore is playing fine, we may see Clausen at the end of the season.

I hope Moore plays well, though. Be it here or elsewhere, his career largely depends on doing well in his remaining starts.

I think it matters to Moore alot more than Clausen. He will be playing for his future contract.

Clausen could literally go out and lead us to 0-16 and he would be unlikely to get cut. He may never start again and may get cut a year later, but he'd probably be here next year.

Moore needs to show what he can do from here on out to have a job some place - not even here, as he probably will be released - but anywhere.
