Moore to start

This is a good thing.

It also shows that fox does care, despite what the fans think. If he didn't, he'd just let the rookie play out the rest of the season.

Will it make a difference? Depends on which matt moore shows up. I know this, id rather watch him lead this team right now over clausen. Of course, that isn't saying much.

I'll take the vet over the rookie for the time being.

Un-friggin-real.

It's not like we are talking about the same problem the Iggles are having. Wow.

Bye Foxy.

Eagles have two QB's that have both played well....we have two QB's who have struggled mightily.

The fact that both teams have two QB's is where the comparison ends.

I pull for whoever we have in there. After Moore's last start I said on here the only thing that was going to keep me interested in the next few weeks was how Clausen would play. Let's say I lost interest in that, and now the only thing to keep me interested is to see how Moore will play with the new WR additions.

Both guys have looked horrible, but IMO, Clausen has looked worse. Moore has more INTs but I don't count those 2 at the end of our last debacle, it's not like it mattered at that point anyway... And again, as a disclaimer, I don't have a vested personal rooting interest for either guy, other than whoever gives us the best chance to win. I'm hopeful MM will play well, and I certainly hope we didn't waste a 2nd rounder on Clausen for the long-term either.

Although I saw the change coming for this week and I'm excited about it for now, I honestly think we could be looking at them alternating for the rest of the season... We have nothing to lose, and although I hope for the best out of both of them, I'm not sure either will be able to string good games together.

See if he is real now? I'm pretty sure I've seen enough to figure out that he isn't. But okay, lat's say we leave him in the rest of the season. What is going to change? He's still going to have the same patchwork line and the same shizzy receivers. What are you honestly expecting to see out of Jimmy if we leave him in that you didn't see in his first three shiz-tracular starts? Really, you want to know? Prorate out his current stats and lock up your firearms and pills.

Why is everyone so sure that Moore is done in Carolina? The heir apparent who was supposed to charge in of his white fuggin stallion and replace Moore came in like Don Quixote on a braying ass and lost a fight with a windmill. If Moore does well in he returrn to starting, why wouldn't you want to bring him back?

It takes more than three games to know for a fact if a QB has it or not. This debate is already beyond old though. Some on here want him to sit because they prefer Moore's "talent", some want him to sit so he won't get scarred for life like David Carr, some want him to start because they think he'll be great. I'm NONE of those people. I couldn't care less about either QB, but would rather put out the guy that WILL be here next season and let the evaluation continue. By season's end you'll know for sure about the kid, and he'll either start next season or be a back-up. Moore's chances of being here next season are slim to none. The only way we re-sign him is if we go 8-3 the rest of the way.

But I just realized I'm debating yet another Moore homer. Complete waste of my time. But hey, at least you're not a confessed troll like p55.

As I said in another thread, it makes sense. When Moore was stinking it up we went with Clausen to see if he was the spark we needed. Fox wasn't going to wait 8 games like he did with Jake. Now after 3 games with Clausen he knows that there is no easy answer and that the quarterback concerns are real.

Now he can put in Moore and see if he improves or not. Clausen is going to be here for the next several years whether he plays good or bad so there really is no urgency to play him. Truth is that it is more important to see what Moore can do since he is the one who won't be here without a new contract. We wouldn't want to repeat what Atlanta did with Brett Favre if Moore was the answer and we let him go. If Moore still sucks we can let him go with a clear conscience and Clausen will still get games before the year is out.

Moore only got two starts.....he got a WR into the endzone in both his games.....and didn't even finish both games. There is good to his game. He needs to elimiante the bad....which is what YOUNG QBs always are dealing w/.

If Moore finsihes strong he will be viewed as a guy who wins game.....a QB Fox oddly dumped on to start the 2010 season b/c of 1 game. A guy that will realistically have just as good of a shot as Clausen w/ a new HC.

I'm not spinning this thing and you shouldn't either.

Moore played bad and he got benched.

Clausen played bad and he got benched.

The first one that wins a game will keep playing. Moore has a good shot against a beatable team on Sunday.

actually, if Moore finishes strong....his NFL resume will be pretty dang impressive for a young QB. But if you want to define him by the Giants game forever.....continue to do so.

And if you want to define him by a win over the Vikings and Giants last season, and nothing else, go ahead.

WAIT...how'd you get off my ignore list?
