My friend has a schizophrenic neighbor

Going along with the fun neighbor threads we've got going on, here's one to add. My friend, let's call him Dan, lives close to campus in a corner house on a very public and well traveled street, in a house with 4 other guys of about 21-22.

Over the summer, they started encountering a guy, lets call him Larry. Larry lives accross the street, and has schizophenia. He has a wife that no one has ever seen. We know Larry is prescribed medication for his condition, but he often forgoes taking it. At first, Larry would just meander around in his yard, pretending to do yardwork, and spying on Dan's house. It grew to where he would sit out in his yard in a chair, shirtless, just staring at the house for hours. Then, he started walking around on the sidewalk in front of the house, and began confronting the occupants of the house while they were outside.

One time, Dan had his car parked in front of Larry's house (since this is a small street and there aren't really other options). Larry approaches him and says "If you park in front of my house again I'm gunna get my AK and shoot your ass." Dan responds by telling him he's going to call the police. Larry gets flustered and remarks "Police?! I'll get the FBI up in here. I'm worth about $30 million, my sister's worth about $20 million." At this point Dan just walks away, but has learned his neighbor is a nutcase.

A friend spent the night at Dan's house. She parked her car in front of Larry's house. Early that morning around 6am, Larry parked both of his cars around the girl's car, and set off his car alarm, until somebody came out. He made her move her car at 6am or else he would keep running his car alarm. Cops were called again.

Dan's house has a nice front porch people like to relax on. Larry would come outside with a pipe or bat in his hand, walk by the occupant's cars and act like he was going to smash a window. Then he would start pacing around in front of the house, mumbling to himself. Eventually he'd just walk away and sit in his chair staring at the house, but still freaking everybody out.

Last encounter I personally had with him, we were sitting on the porch in the front, and Larry drives by in his car. He's creeping by slowly, staring at us sitting on the porch. Dan's roommate looks at him and says "What's up?!" and Larry starts laughing maniacally and speeds off.

Now that it's gotten colder, he's spend less time outside spying on the house and being a creeper. That or maybe he started taking his meds again. But there's a neighbor story for you.

    • Sims has to do a little outrage marketing to make the engagement numbers go vroom, but there's been a few analysts that have commented on how Walker is ultimately going to be depending on whomever drafts him to properly develop him. Whether that's starting him off of as a rotational edge guy on obvious passing downs or settling him at ILB will be up to whoever ends up with him. A lot of folks like to point out Isaiah Simmons, and as much as I like Isaiah as a Clemson fan he's not the guy that Jalon Walker is between the ears (this isn't to say Isaiah isn't bright, but didn't seem to breathe football like Jalon does).
    • Evero runs Vic Fangio's scheme and leans heavily on cover 4 with disguised coverages. It is not predominantly cover-2 as suggested. This means that the box safety is going to likely be covering 1/4th as opposed to 1/2 of the field. Whomever the team brings in to be the boundary safety (unless they stay with Demani) is going to be covering the 1/2 part. Though with Evero's scheme, that box safety can also be one of the three underneath coverage guys depending on how they've got it disguised prior to the snap.
    • I was messing around with ChatGPT and feeding it a lot of information about the current draft.  I think we came up with a perfect draft scenario for the Panthers.  this was just a quick 3-round mock with a trade-back with Pittsburgh.    TRADE RECAP Panthers send: Pick 8 Steelers send: Picks 21, 51, 84 Panthers draft with: 21, 51, 57, 74, 84 ROUND 1, PICK 21: Tetairoa McMillan – WR1 – Arizona (#12) Why it works: Gives Bryce Young a true WR1 with elite ball skills and separation ability Resets the WR room with a long-term outside alpha ROUND 2, PICK 51: James Pearce Jr. – EDGE7 – Tennessee (#36) Why it works: Gifted edge bender who can win off the edge with speed and twitch High-upside Burns replacement with flexibility to rotate early behind Clowney/Wonnum ROUND 2, PICK 57: Kevin Winston Jr. – FS4 – Penn State (#83) Why it works: True free safety with range and coverage instincts Plays faster than timed speed — perfect deep safety fit in Evero’s scheme Could immediately compete to start  ROUND 3, PICK 74: Azareye’h Thomas – CB6 – Florida State (#51) Why it works: Big, athletic corner who can develop into a full-time starter Could play outside or nickel and provides much-needed depth with Horn’s health always in question ROUND 3, PICK 84: Darius Alexander – DT7 – Toledo (#61) Why it works: Fluid, active interior lineman with pass-rush upside Great value here — helps solidify the DL rotation behind Derrick Brown and Shy Tuttle Final 3-Round Mock  Pick Player Position School Rank in The Beast 21 Tetairoa McMillan WR Arizona #12 51 James Pearce Jr. EDGE Tennessee #36 57 Kevin Winston Jr. FS Penn State #83 74 Azareye’h Thomas CB Florida State #51 84 Darius Alexander DT Toledo #61
