But, as mediocre as the play in the NFC has been this season........a decent running game and we could have made it interesting.

I still stand by my original thoughts coming into the season.

If we could have been able to run the ball like we have the past two seasons, we would be OK.

I NEVER expected the QB play to be stellar. But, I also did not expect the QB to have to carry this team. The OLine and Running Game has been the disappointment to me.

Defense has actually over achieved. The QB play has been weaker than I thought...but only because we cannot lean on the running game.

Put the blame squarely where it belongs....the coaching staff and the Big Uglies.

It is hard for me to separate the run game and the O-line from the passing game and the quarterback. Seems to me the O-line has been a weak point but the lack of a passing game makes it that much worse. The running game also suffers from lack of a passing game as we face 8 and 0 guys in the box and plenty of run blitzing.

I kind of think it is the opposite, if the quarterback position were more solid, the O-line and running game wouldn't be so bad. Of course that is the chicken-egg argument and can go both ways.

As for the defense they are a mixed bag. They play well at times and get blown up others. One of my biggest concerns is struggles getting off the field on third down which wears them down and exacerbates the offensive's difficulty sustaining drives. I really can't find one phase of the game that is doing well right now.

The timing on the offense is off. I have to wonder how our practices go. I watch the lack of chemistry and wonder if do even practice. Sunday games are won Mon-Fri during the week, and executed on Sunday. Obviously the execution is lacking, but my question is, what the hell are we doing Mon-Fri. I don't care if we dumbed down the playbook to 20 plays. We practice those 20 plays for 4 hours a day Wed-Fri, we should be able to execute them to some extent on Sundays.
