I'm glad you provided that stat, but I want to point out that I don't think that it's our offense is designed for us to throw short passes, Clausen throws short passes.

Part of many people's concerns about him coming out in the draft was his habit of checking down, which inflated his college stats, and his inability to throw it deep, or at least throw it deep well. That stat shows that concern was legitimate. Difference is, I think he and Smitty weren't getting along well before Smitty was injured and he was looking him off, and we don't have a big YAC guy beside him.

He's checking down because NOBODY IS fuging OPEN. We're running three rookie WRs out there with a porous O-line. It's check down to the RB or die.

How anyone can single ANYONE out on this team's offense, while the entire offense is sucking is beyond me. I could see if the QB position was holding us back, but its not. The entire offense is garbage. receivers cannot get open, and some that get open cant hold on to the damn ball. Jimmy isn't play good, but who is? thats why this thread sucks...back observing I go.

Actually some people are getting open its up to one man to find them. Yea we aren't playing well overall but our damn qb should be lifting the team up by hitting the OPEN MAN DOWN FIELD to help put points up or hitting a SIMPLE SMOKE SCREEN TO THE FLAT. poo stop droping the damn ball all the time so we can get in rythm his play is a major reason we cant get poo going he isn't making the easy poo happen WHICH HE SHOULD BE.
