It is easy to say fight fire with fire...that is easy to do when you are walking to your car uptown...however it is tough to do that when you are standing in your front yard of the house you own. If I lived with roommates in a rental house, then yes its easy to retaliate (spelling?). Again, I am not going to try and pick a fight with a bunch of kids, that is just not my nature. Now if I saw one of those kids trying to break into my house, or harrassing/threatening my family then ok, I can resort to violence then.

That's your answer.

If they are skipping school, I might rat them out to the school system. They'll send the Truant officers out after them!

If his kids are cutting school, call on a day you know he's out of town for a few days. The School system might get involved and call DSS.

IMO, the surveillance camera is the best thing. If you can present evidence to the Father that his kids or their friends are causing problems, then maybe he might take action. And if he doesn't, you can either turn the recording over to the police, or take action in small claims court.
