It's very amusing that Panthers fans cite Stewarts injury history and the fact that it would hurt our depth as reasons to not trade Williams, then turn right around and suggest that IF we trade a back it should be Stewart, even though between the two Williams is the one who has ACTUALLY missed games in his career. So basically people don't have a problem with us hurting our depth at rb to help the team, just as long as we dont trade their favorite rb between the two. Fans.

first of all, no one in their right mind, especially Ted thompson of green bay, is going to give the panthers a first for Stewart.

Secondly, irregardless ain't no motherf**king word read a book nigga

Sarcasm, of course no one would give us a top 1st for Stewart, he wasn't worth it to begin with.

And I like irregardless, blow me.

I don't think panther fan's think they are not replaceable, but with a run first team they have much more value and its important the team has someone next in line that is just as good and can handle the load.

Then why did you suggest trading Stewart? Williams gor hurt last year, good thing we had a back like Stewart when we played the vikings.

Stewart doesn't participate in training camps and rarely ever practices during the week during regular season due to various toe/foot ailments. I think it's valid to think given a load of 25 touches a week Stewart wouldn't last long. My opinion.

i think it's valid to think that you haven't paid much attention to currrent events and have yet to be brought up to speed.

stewart has not missed a regular season practice this season, nor has he been listed on an injury report.

funny how no one notices that williams has missed more practice, been listed on the injury report, and missed almost as much of the past offseason as stewart.

Really only because the panther's can get more value wise with stewy than Goodson or Sutton and we don't need them all. Williams got hurt, but I think he is more capable of bouncing back from injuries where as Stewy not so much. If Stewy shows otherwise this year then great but so far he has been a dud. I personally like Dwill over Stewy so I guess I am biased. I just think he has more long term value. Just my opinion, we won't really know until it happens.

do you realize that stewart's injuries last season were more severe than williams's?

who missed games and who didn't?

who set records, and who didn't?

who finished in the top 10 of the nfl and who didn't?

How does Williams have more long term value when his contract expires sooner, he's older, and we could get more for him if such a trade with Green Bay did actually happen?

with a name like number28 I'm going to have to believe your biased as well. Pointless. Why don't we compare careers instead of just last year?

You can't really. By long term value as in I am looking at who is sitting behind him ready to start. If we sign Stewy and trade Dwill. Sutton or Goodson would probably go as well and I'd like to keep both of them. which probably won't happen anyway.

This is all based on speculation and mostly personal opinion (now mentioned for the third time) so your getting your panties in a wad over nothing.

already done it. no one paid attention.

everyone seems to take a blind eye to the fact that stewart's career is on pace to be just as good or better than williams's when all is said and done...

...as a matter of fact, it'll take a slow season like this one to keep him from owning almost every record in the panthers' book outside of the overall all-time rushing leader...

Trading DWill or Stewart would be plain foolish. With those 2 you've got arguably the best RB duo in the NFL. Keep the running game intact and trade Steve Smith (although you'd be lucky to get a 3rd for him). Only other thing to do would be trading a defender for a high pick, someone like Chris Gamble, who could probably gain some good interest from someone like Dallas, someone in need of defensive help but not in a youth movement.
