Hotel for Saturday night before the 49ers game

We have a bunch of Canadians coming for the game, and we just found out we have a babysitter for the Sat night before the game. They are all staying downtown.

We want to stay downtown with or near them but ALL hotels that are not crack dens downtown are sold out. Any advice/ideas?

I stayed at Embassy Suites for the Tampa game. It wasn't that far from downtown (about 4 miles), and the rates were not bad for an Embassy Suites.

Do you live in the area? If so, maybe its best to just party with them and catch a cab home.

Now be nice. Those Canadians are so poor they can't even afford to field a whole football team of 11 players. Heck, they can't even afford 4 downs either.:ciappa:

The Bills are practically theirs. Not like they want them, but what choice do they have?

    • I think if TMAC falls in your laps, you def have to think about it. Otherwise, you go edge. Now if TMAC is gone and top two edge are gone as well, what would you do? This would obviously be a scenario where we aren't drafting top 5.
    • I wish all of this wasn't after a loss. Hopefully good things are around the corner but we've already done this once in this same season. After the convincing win over the Raiders the locker room was on cloud nine and the fluff couldn't get from the team to the fanbase fast enough. With that in mind. I'll just take this one game at a time. Now let's beat the Bucs.
    • i think i go in the opposite direction of most. my ideal retirement is living in some old downtown area in a flat above some shop or something.  life out in the country was just something i got real tired of. My kids actually miss some of living out there, which i understand. that was where they grew up for the most part. 40 acres with a 2.5 acre pond. it was beautiful, but also way too much (and too expensive) for me to keep up with.
