Question for the Catholics

this isn't really a question about religion, more so a protocol question...so I'll start it in the lounge!!!

Was at a Catholic funeral this week and wasn't sure the protocol when communion came...as a non catholic...what was my expected cource of action????

Yes, non-Catholics should not participate in communion. Most Protestants will allow any Christian to participate.

You didn't receive the Sacrament of Communion. So you aren't suppose to take the Eucharistic.

But they won't ask if you are Catholic or not. So it doesn't really matter.

got it, thanks. Didn't think it was the right thing to do...as it was I was outside consoling my sister anyway...so that made my choice easy

No kidding. You could sneak through there, if you wanted, but you'd have to remember to do the right things when the sacrament is placed on your tongue.
