being "redneck" (if it hasn't been mentioned)

mopeds (or having your license revoked due to a major DWI)

listening to music on your phone while in a crowded area with no headphones

I take it you have not seen some kids these days. Basically, Larry the Cable Guy has glorified being a retard to the point of kids wanting to talk and look like him. Example, wearing boots and tucking your pants halfway into them, leaving the other half to hangover (why, I am not sure). Jeans with big rebel flag belt buckles (and thinking that was the MAIN confederate flag, unaware that it was the confederacy's battle flag). Camo hats (because in order to be a good ol' southern boy, you MUST wear a camo hat). Trucks with obscenely loud mufflers (or trucks with no catalytic converters, for no real reason other than having a louder truck...). Basically, living like Larry the Cable Guy and his jokes and trying to sound like him. It's pathetic and annoying.

Thats always been around where I lived. Heck I live in Michigan now and they do it up here.

True. Maybe I just started noticing it when I moved to Pender County in middle school and realized that some people actually TRY to act that way. Being a "redneck" was always an insult where I grew up (Gaston and Cleveland county). It was weird to me then, and it is still weird to me now why some people would boast "I'm a redneck!"
