I get tired of comments like this....there is 1 position on a football team that can drastically effect the look and perception of a team QB. A QB make a team look horrific when the rest of the team as a whole really isn't that bad.

See Jake Delhomme in 2009. Was that team bad or was the QB play causing the team to be bad. Moore came in and provide stable QB play and they dramatically looked different.

Bottom line is this team HAS a good defense, they have a great running game and they have a top tier WR. QB play can make all that irrelevent. People continue to act like the OL is garbage.....but they can not pass/run block w/ 10 defenders in the box consisitantly. Defenses are able to do that b/c of the QB (and that includes the play of both guys).

The OL isn't bad. The passing game is bad. You continue to tell one half of the story. You can play a rookie QB with veteran WRs (e.g., Sanchez) or a veteran QB with rookie WRs (can't even think of an example of this)... but you play a rookie QB with rookie WRs and you end up with a bad passing game.

It's not worth throwing Steve Smith's name into this. The guy has spent very little time on the practice field since last year and has no timing with Clausen at all.

Seriously, you have to be incredibly simple minded to give up on any of these guys at this point including Moore. The reason I advocate Clausen over Moore is because 1) Moore has not differentiated himself even after three years in the league and a full camp as a starter and 2) Clausen will be around in some capacity for a few years. If Moore was around for 4 years and Clausen was out of here he would be starting more games. It's as simple as that.

Clasuen is playing bad. A of that has nothing to do w/ not getting reps w/ Steve or this or that. It is Clasuen. Not all of it.....but at this point people are making excuses about everything when it comes to this kid.

Only thing you can blame him for, or MM for that matter, is the missed throws (i.e. overthrown, underthrown, behind the wr. etc.). The dropped passes are on the wr's.

I give JC a pass on reading the defence for a little while but MM has no excuse for that because he's had 4 years to catch on to that.

Hard to tell which is at fault for the O-line play. Is it poor game planning/play calling for a stacked box or poor execution. I have to admit that I haven't had much of an opportunity to watch all of the games this year, which isn't a bad thing seeing as how they're playing. But from what I've seen it's a combination of all of the above. This team has to go back to the drawing board in all areas on the offence.

Moore had 8 starts and had been in the league 3 years entering the season. Not sure why people expected him to not be making the mistakes of a young QB......Moore is a young QB.

everyone keeps saying 4 years in regards to Moore.....counting this season as a year of experience.

Also didn't he miss an entire year with a leg injury? 2008 I think. Either way this team is garbage and there are too many complacent fans to go along with the complacent coach, gm and owner.
