Potential Head Coaches

Mr. Scot

Fox Charlotte lists 22 candidates (I guess they didn't want to leave anybody out)

They even have a CFL coach in their list :P

edit: conspicuously absent from the list is Ron Rivera

this is why I wish the media had never discovered slide shows.... and this one even looks like Fox has contracted out to Bleacher Report. Blech.

A package deal? Perhaps. But I’m not convinced the people who still will be in power are ready to give up on Jimmy Clausen, although Fox never embraced him. It’s possible the Panthers could hire Harbaugh and ask him to develop Clausen. It’s possible they could try to trade the top pick to add more picks. But if Luck is as good as everyone seems to think he is, it would be awfully hard to pass on a franchise quarterback.

reading this made my testicles sore.

we're ranked dead last in passing yards and passer rating. last year we were ranked 26th in passer rating and 27th in yards. as a matter of fact, the highest we've been ranked in passer rating in the last five years was 14th in 2008.

Luck declares, you have the first pick, and you take him. Doesn't matter if you have Clausen, it doesn't matter if McDaniels is your OC and Harbaugh is your HC and you can coach them up, you take luck. this really should be a no brainer

I was at the App Villanova game today and was talking with an Eagles fan from Philly who said he had full faith that Sean McDermott was coming to Carolina. He said his source was on the "inside" of the Eagles...but unless you name a name I don't find "inside" sources reliable. I thought it was funny.

McDermott HC and McDaniels OC? Carolina Mc D's

what?? look at Denver's offensive numbers.

McDaniels was at the center of various personnel mishaps that have seemingly doomed the Broncos for the long term. Trading away Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall. Signing players to big contracts in free agency to have them cut before the season. Running Mike Nolan, who changed the Denver defense to something respectable, out of town. Trading a first round pick for a player who would be later traded for a late round pick, trading Peyton Hillis for Brady Quinn, drafting The Golden Calf of Bristol in the first round, and alienating himself within the organization. Many didn't expect McDaniels to be the coach in 2011, anyway.
