Potential Head Coaches

Actually Wade Phillips is an Good coach. His weakness is he dont knows how to handle Bad situations.Just like fox he doesnt knows how to make adjustments and situations. All coaches have weakness. Also if you have a Owner like jerry jones i can imagine how hard it is for to coach a team under him.Do i want him as our coach naw not really I was just saying what are the chances. Also i stated the chances slim to none. Due to the fact the panthers would like to have some one younger. If people would judt think about stuff for a second maybe they would have there information straight. Also i was pulling for Leslie Frazier or Jim Harbaugh to be our coach. But now its seem less likely to happen especially if Chilly gets fired. And also the Michigan job opens up for Harbaugh..

Capers is probably one of the best 3-4 coordinators out there, but neither of his forays into head coaching was especially successful.

Imagine the reaction if the Panthers hired Cowher and he got Capers as a DC

once again, coaches don't just jump around. Cowher's going to have Chan, and that's about it, of what's available.

Oh, I wasn't suggesting it could happen. Just thinking it'd be amusing.

I don't actually believe we'll get Cowher. Nor am I in favor of it.

So if in fact that Richardson wants to go "young and cheap" why not look at Kyle Shanahan?

I haven't really been following how the Redskins are looking with McNabb but I know that Kyle ran a pretty solid offense in Houston and could be a good candidate to build a team around for years to come.

Hasn't been around long enough, in my opinion.

(that, plus I'm not as big a fan of his dad as others are)

I'll sign off tonight with an opinion piece from everyone's favorite sports writer...

Mike Florio :sosp:

John Fox would be another mistake for Jerry Jones and the Cowboys

The early list of candidates for the 2011 head-coaching job of the 1-7 Cowboys includes coach John Fox.

Of the 1-7 Panthers.

Jay Glazer of all-caps FOX makes the case for initial-cap Fox. "If I'm the Dallas Cowboys, forget all those big shiny names you hear about like Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher," Glazer said in comments circulated by FOX's P.R. department. "John Fox is the right fit for that team. Fox is already friends with the Jones' and hangs out with them on the road quite a bit. John Fox gets more out of less than most of the coaches in this league. He went to two NFC Championship games with Jake Delhomme as his quarterback and Mike Rucker and Mike Minter as his defensive captains.

The big thing about John Fox is there's no drama around him and a presence like Fox is just what Dallas needs. Someone like Cowher will want full control where John Fox wants nothing to do with being the General Manager. He's only concerned with coaching the team."

Fine. But Fox has coached the Panthers into the ground. And there's no way Jerry Jones can sell to his fan base another happy-to-be-anywhere marionette with a long history of unfulfilled expectations.

Jones needs someone who wants full control, because Jones doesn't know how to exercise full control. We've been saying it all year and, for whatever reason, few have picked up on this basic reality. Jones has no qualifications or credentials to run a football operation apart from his ability to write the check to buy the team. Twenty-one years of experience doing a job he was never truly fit to do doesn't mean he should continue to do it.

Well it seems like Adam Schefter thinks that It will more likely Be Jon Gruden last Night..I can Really see Fox be in Dallas but Gruden IDK. And He has a contract that last up to 2012 with MNF. So IDK about that either. This will be a real Interesting off season. If jason Garrett looking for a coaching job he Better not mess up whats already messed up in Dallas, Mainly because of his offensive Woes. Also if Chilly gets fired We could see Frazier as the new coach. If not Fox would have an great chance, the vikings fit his profile well..Also let me say fox was saying that there is no way he can wiin the team we have and the Owner jerry Richardson does not want to spend money. If it really like that obivious if he was talking about it.Then next year its kind of hard to see the direction we are going in. If we get a new coach no matter who it is there are going to have to spend money..Whats goingo to happen is There will be a new CBA and we are going to be at the bottom of the League for a while Because richardson is going to let all the players go who are free agents. The key to build threw the Draft is you have to get Players that you know will Improve the team. Not be on the team 2 to 3 years and not produce.

I still dont know how I really feel about Gruden, I just dont think he did that good of a job in TB. I would rather take a risk on Rob Ryan the Browns coordinator and Rex's twin. He said he hopes he gets a chance to become a head coach next year. I think hes been passed on too many times. I would love to see us be the first NFC South team to do a 3-4 defense. Yes I know our current personnel isnt best suited for it but any new coach we hire is going to overhaul our personnel. I really dont see us winning another game this season, and I doubt a new coach will find many players to keep over.

As for Marty, I know hes too old to coach, but doesnt he live near Charlotte. That would be a great place for him to become some kind of advisor to the team i.e.Bill Parcells position

His son has a better chance of being here than he does (though I don't honestly think that'll happen either).
