"Panthers QB Clausen experiencing 0-5 again"

KoolKat all your assumptions are based on Moore not being here and that Clausen has a contract. Who/what is to say that if Clausen plays very well that he will not hold out and want that money that he felt was rightfully his in the draft (as evidenced by the chip on his shoulder from the slide) and end up handicapping our franchise for next year and years to come?

See, the cool what if game can be played by anyone and it doens't hold much weight (although Clausen has the personality to be a hold out).

Also, your statement that Moore and Clausen were close in camp is extremely false. Even today CatMan72, who supports Clausen, said that in practice there is no doubt Moore blows Clausen out of the water. Dont' bring that weak stuff to the table and try and pass it off as truth.

Honestly, if Moore blew Clausen out of the water in practice he would never have been pulled. It certainly wasn't preseason games that convinced the coaches to make the change.

No one knows how Clausen is going to end up.

The disagreement is whether or not he should be playing right now.

I think playing a lame duck quarterback in Moore is a waste of valuable development time for Clausen who will be in Carolina next year.

If I thought this team had a shot of making the playoffs I might want to see Moore if he was decisively better. But none of us have to worry about that.

I certainly wasn't at camp but from all accounts, literally all accounts, Moore was blowing him away. Like I said, even Catman72, a Clausen supporter, said today that Moore looks way better than Clausen.

What have YOU seen in practice that says different?

Um, Gantt and every reporter who attended the camps and practices confirmed that Moore was significantly ahead of Clausen. No point try to paint a picture things were close then. There are seveal articles you can go back and pull where they consistantly report that.

Clausen wasn't put into the game because of his practice performance, or because the coaches truly felt that he was the stronger QB. He was put in as a change of pace, to try and ignite a spark. We sucked, Matt Moore was forcing the ball, and we were losing. They tried to change things up, and so far it hasn't worked. This is not because Clausen has been the superior QB, in any facet to this point.

Again nobody said he was superior to Moore most people feel that if we are going too lose we might as well lose with a rookie getting exp. then a 4 year vet on a 1 year contract. It's not like a crazy or bad idea.

Before we go into this let me ask you if Moore starts the rest of the year do we make the playoffs?

Unless Moore puts up a "Brady like" performance in the next 11 games which could happen.

This is the only way that he stays here next year.

But living in reality like I do and knowing that no in coming coach RESIGNS a QB on a losing team from the year before. My senario seem more likely too happen then yours.
