"Panthers QB Clausen experiencing 0-5 again"

I assume you meant ESU? If you did, well Armanti didn't play that game and ASU still almost won on the last drive, 24-29.

Against LSU he was 13-31 for 155 yds and a TD, no ints.

The NC State game was when he was a Freshman and it was the game that he took over for Elder that started his career. He was 1/2 for 8 yards.

So....he had one bad game out of the three you listed, and it wasn't really that bad. Damn you burned him on that one.

What were jimmy # in his loses?

Which doesn't really matter But thanks for making my point Armanti lose to other DI teams and doesn't get any blame for the lose JImmy loses and gets all the blame.

Have you sign the petition too start Armanti yet?

Clausen has done something very impressive relative to Armanti... he has started 3 games in the NFL at quarterback as a rookie on the same team.

It's useless tying to talk about specific players as if they win or lose football games themselves.

lol. If you don't have anything then just give Armanti that slight nod and move on.

I am not sure about winning games. One man can lose games.

Did you even read that? He played in one of those games. His mediocre play contributed to the loss against LSU sure, but his play didn't do jack in the other games, especially since he didn't play in them.

For the record. I don't want Armanti to be the starting QB, I don't think it would be good for the team to have a complete change of style mid season, it would just be more of a poo storm. But I would like to see him utilized more in the backfield, I'd like to see him have some throws out of the mountaineer.

I support the kid as a player, and I feel the need to prove people wrong who just throw crap out there that's completely false. Like, for instance, saying that Armanti lost two games he didn't even really play in.

So lets just cut him. If people shouldn't have faith he can improve then lets cut him now. Moore still won't be here next year.

Making stupid comments like that don't serve anyone. Clausen will be for four years whether he plays well or not. But Moore last year should serve as a cautionary tale to anyone that success for a few games or even a year don't guarantee future success nor do quarterbacks necessarily improve from one year to the next.

The truth is that no one knows what Clausen is going to do this year let alone next. Your expecting success and declaring him the future is just as ridiculous as those declaring him a bust. Of course you don't cut him nor do you assume that Moore won't be here either. If for example moore became the starter and had a good run then he would be a candidate to stay if he was reasonable in price. Again that will largely be decided by the new coach.

So he is only 1-1 against DI schools. So why are you on his nuts so hard??

I guess you must only count games against ranked teams, so let's look at those.

Clausen compelted 60% of his passes for 543 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, in 2 games for 122.96 QB rating. Yea, he sucked it up.

http://www.cfbstats.com/2009/player/513/1010448/passing/split.html

Why are you only posting one year as a starter against only 2 ranked teams. Do it for his career. It's not as rosy as you picture. For comparison purposes only for people thinking Jimmy lit it up, here are Moore's numbers for his career against ranked teams.

att comp % yards yds/att int td td/int

85 51 60 543 6.4 1 3 3

63 35 55.6 283 4.5 4 1 0.25

37 18 48.6 134 3.6 3 0 0

185 104 56% 960 5.189189189 8 4 0.5

att comp % yards yds/att int td td/int

76 51 67.1 564 7.4 1 2 2

107 60 56.1 792 7.4 6 3 0.5

183 111 61% 1356 12.21621622 7 5 0.714285714

Decide for yourself.

Better TD to INT ratio, Better yards per attempt, better completion % but yet Jimmy is the first coming.

That game is very vivid still... There were atleast 10 drops from WR's and TE's. In 2008, much of the receiving core changed at ASU with Cline,Quick, and Blake Elder taking over for Dexter Jackson, TJ Courman, and Hans Batichon. In the same game, ASU dropped 5 Ints much like us vs Cincy. Right in their hands. They gave up a quick 21 points but played fine after that.

If your going to bash someone, please look up the stats on why they are what they are. I could pull up random stats like Armanti has the same number of Wins vs Michigan that clausen does with a better winning percentage.

They are both rookies and both are struggling with what they do, but Jimmy Pennington hasn't impressed me.

Well wouldn't his last year results be the most reflective of his current ability rather than his stats from his true freshman year? I am merely demonstrating he got progressively better as he went through his college career and may do the same in the NFL. Give the guy a chance and the time to get better.
