"Panthers QB Clausen experiencing 0-5 again"

Clausen did lose each game nor did he win each game, ND did. Stop making a W or L about one single person.

QB play is why we have lost every game this year imo. It is not the only reason but it is the biggest reason. You insert a decent QB into this team and they would have a winning record likely w/ the position the defense and even ST have put them this year.

For the most part, they simply digress into a pro-Clausen/anti-Clausen sentiment instead of what's best for the team. As I said when he was drafted, the mere subject will create a divide amongst fans that will pit one against the other with respect to Clausen and Moore and there won't be any wiggle room for those who just want what will help the team without taking sides for or against either QB.

Seriously, why isn't there the same passion and fervor over the starting left tackle and his back up where the Panthers have issues as well? Or the starting free safety and his backup?

Martin/Godfrey was debated all last season.

Well you have to blame the FO for that. They had a guy with 6 games expierence and 2 more with none going into the season. Actually I guess you blame JR for that.

I don't think we would be 0-5 if Moore was still in there. He has good and bad w/ his game.....and the D has done some great things this year.

again, that isn't a glowing endorsement for Moore.

I didn't say he's lighting up the NFL, but he improved vastly in 3 years at ND, just look at his stats. I'm saying it wouldn't make sense not to stick with him and see if he starts improving this year so the FO knows if they need to look for another QB for next year (assuming their is one).

It is a huge leap to say that because he improved in college he will improve in the NFL along the same lines. I really doubt they bring in a first round quarterback next year regardless unless there is just someone who they can't pass up. It will more likely be a veteran who challenges for the job. Again depends on the new coach.

No. People only have issues when posters start acting like Clausen is doing stuff he isn't and is better than he has proven to be.

No nobody on here has said Clausen looks like Dan fouts or is lighting it up.

Most are just saying he is a rookie making rookie mistakes. You on the other hand get a hard on too hate him on every thread you can.

This thread was a interview on how Clausen is dealing with his problem as a starter. Nobody said he is playing great or he is superman. People only said that's a great attitude to have. You felt the need too bring in your negative opinion on how a player choose too deal with the losing that is happening.

That's your opinion I feel differently. Moore won't be here next year lets move on.

I agree with you there. With all the turnovers we have generated on defense, we should easily be at least 2 and 3. Both the New Orleans game and Chicago game were ours for the taking and we were abysmal moving the ball.

So lets just cut him. If people shouldn't have faith he can improve then lets cut him now. Moore still won't be here next year.

DII is all that needs too be said.

How did Armanti do against LSU and NC State or what about ESU how did his numbers look on those days?

I assume you meant ESU? If you did, well Armanti didn't play that game and ASU still almost won on the last drive, 24-29.

Against LSU he was 13-31 for 155 yds and a TD, no ints.

The NC State game was when he was a Freshman and it was the game that he took over for Elder that started his career. He was 1/2 for 8 yards.

So....he had one bad game out of the three you listed, and it wasn't really that bad. Damn you burned him on that one.

If anyone is trying to argue that Jimmy played even close to a tough schedule you guys are crazy. Don't pick out one team one year. Look at it overall. It's not a bashing thread. Someone asked what the difference between him going from Oaks to ND was and I answered that in both HS and college he didn't play the tough schedule week in and week out that he will in the NFL. Just because his team was bad doesn't mean his schedule was tough.

yeah, I brought up the one win b/c it was impressive. I asked what Clausen did in college that was more impressive than Armanti?

I can list every game that Clausen lost to counter but what is the point of that.

Clausen has done something very impressive relative to Armanti... he has started 3 games in the NFL at quarterback as a rookie on the same team.

It's useless tying to talk about specific players as if they win or lose football games themselves.
