Building the team from the inside out

I am a firm believer in the football philosophy that is building your team from the inside out. This meaning both offensive and defensive lines first, over the skill positions on which people like to obsess.

The trenches is where most games are won and lost, who controls the line of scrimmage affects everything.

That being said, we need to work on drafting quality defensive lineman, or adding talent by other means. It is our weakest part of our team by far.

There are many teams that if you look at the roster, they have very little talent at the skill positions, but with good lines, you can win games.

This is a QB driven league, and I dont think it would be fair to evaluate Jimmy on a season, let alone a few games.. Give him some time, see what we have, and start building our lines. I think our O-line is good, just underacheiving this year, and with Otah being out, that doesnt help.

Also, generally non-skill positions have a much higher success rate transferring from the college level to the NFL.
